Any info on the WAW key shortage?

So people buying the game haven't been able to make online profiles and I'm wondering if there is any new info on steam not having the online keys included with the game.

If you bought CoDWaW through Steam and you can't play online, then you need to buy the Old Retail DVD/CD Version for ca 10€ online, and replace the Steam Key with the retail cd key in "regedit". After that you can play online with your Steam version . This is the only way to get it work.

steam key is the key code used to identify your unique copy of the game to prevent piracy, all the ones through steam are used. To get a valid one you have to buy a dvd of the game on ebay for pc and with the code on there, you can go into a config file within the files of the game and replace the key code with the 'new' valid one from ebay. OR just use Plutonium, if u have steam waw (or any installation of WaW) then it would work perfectly. google Plutonium WaW and it should send you to their homepage, but it's a 3rd party client for WaW and uses different servers so you just need to make an account on Pluto.

I'm the biggest WaW fan but this is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
Might as well download a pirated installer and buy a retail key from cjs cd keys.

I hear Plutonium supports WAW now so you could use that.

I tried using the plutonium manager, and I get a horrible windowed mode and even though I logged in through plutonium, I cant create classes or anything.

from what i understand, keys have ran out for the steam version of WaW is why this is happening

Just bought a new retail key and typed it on Regedit but everytime I start the game, it reverts back to my Steam key so nothing works.

I put the key there, clicked on Play, the Steam (or the game) automatically reset the register and it put my Steam key there, while I still can't register a profile. At the same time the game was running, I changed the "Codkey" to my Retail key, that boring profile creation screen's still there.
