CD Key Issue

I just want to clarify whether or not buying the game was a bad idea. I found a review for it on Steam saying that Valve is selling illegal copies of it which means we are unable to play online/co-op. If this is true, how would I go about finding working CD keys?

Valve is not selling any illegal copies, that absolutely makes no sense in multiple ways. What seems to have happened is something got messed up with the authentication servers on Activisions end for verifying your copy of the game. Right now, it seems you can't do anything to play the vanilla game, regardless of where you buy it from. I have heard people used plutonium launcer to get their game to work, but I personally haven't tested it yet.

I mean no ill comments but by all means feel free to go check the negative reviews for the game. It's also plastered all across google and literally everywhere else on Google.

I would recommend you asking for a refund while you're still eligible for it, because activision doesn't seem to be caring about WaW anymore. basically, this issue is affecting only people who bought the game recently, and players who owned WaW before around March '21 don't seem to have problems with their online profiles. if devs miraculously fix the issue by ending the product key shortage, you can buy WaW again in the future. at this point, they honestly don't deserve any money they get from customers.
