Is there any Japanese people playing this game?

I am American-Japanese. I wonder if any Japanese people played this game at all, because this game is fire!

The game is not available for Japanese as far as I know, and I don't see much reason for them to play this game, other than being a fan of the series.

I guess the game isn't sold in japan, as @Johnny Casey mentioned above. steam database shows no info about the "yen" (currency) price of the game, unlike many other countries. I don't think this is just for steam store, so the game seems to be banned by government (probably for PS3 and XB360 versions as well).

maybe some japanese people living outside of japan, or players who use VPNs in japan have bought and played WaW, just out of curiosity. but I don't really think there are a lot of people in this situation.

From tvtropes dot com, I saw this "World at War was banned in Japan for "gory violence against Japanese soldiers", However, funny enough. I saw a PS3 Version of WAW in Japanese. It was still in English, but it think its only available on console.

How does this lead you to such conclusion? They just didn't like the way how imperial army's been portrayed, so they decided not to ship the game in their land.

I don't remember how I got the game, maybe one of my friends gifted me a few years back. But yeah I'm from Japan and I can't access the store page for world at war. It's a reasonable decision to ban it though.
