Campaign mission "Relentless" seems broken

I never played the game to completion way back when, and somehow got back into it now. However, at the end of the mission titled "Relentless", asked to rejoin my squad, nothing I do will trigger the end of the mission. Two squad members enjoy the view onto the sea, but joining them makes no difference. Is that a known bug, and/or is there a way to get around this?

No support to be had from Activision. No that that is really new, but the manner of leading its customers into the darkness with links that go nowhere ("Chat is only available between 11 AM and 10 PM PT" is an answer I get at 2 PM PT. "Ask an Ambassador", followed by "Looks like our Ambassadors have stepped away.", "Ask the Community" followed by "The Server-IP-Adress of community.activision.com was not found) is quite amazing. They have a serious problem with respect for their customers.

Thanks very much. I tried searching the net obviously, too, but did not come across that one.
I still find the lack of support by the publisher mind-boggling.

Sgt. Polonsky got stuck WAY back in the mission. I needed to push him over a barricade and run all the way to the cave with him, then the mission would end. I had a suspicion this would be the reason, but at first could not find the way back to him.
