Game Crashes when Changing Resolution

My game always freezes and doesn't let me close the application when trying to change the resolution. I tried changing the startup resolution from steam properties I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game but it never goes to my native resolution which is 1920x1080 and when I change the resolution it just freezes and shows my desktop. I tried using task manager to exit out of the game but whenever I do it just goes back to the WAW Window? Please help

Maybe try to see if its your refresh rate or your tv might not be able to handle what your trying to inprove

I fixed it by changing the config but now I have another issue. I can hear everything BUT the characters voices in the campaign... I don't even understand anymore

if the sound problem is only for talks of characters, then you can check the volume settings in audio options. I think there are different sliders for different sound types of the game (voices, music, effects etc). additionally, there's a setting at game options, regarding the use of subtitles.

btw, I was about to write a comment like "there's a thread literally on main forum page, asking help for the same problem. you could have easily seen the reply in that thread for fixing the resolution problem."

I'm glad that the resolution issue is resolved.

The sound issue is that every audio is playing except for voices. The slider is also all the way up.

I have no idea how this issue can be fixed, but you can still try verifying integrity of game files on steam. it's a method to validate game files and fix by steam if some files are corrupt or missing. to do it, you can right click cod: waw in steam library and select properties. there go to local files tab on that small window and click on verify integrity of game files. wait until steam completes the process and then play the game again to see if it helped.

My favorite part of this game is probably the amazing voice acting, It feels off without that
