just keep trying, it should work eventually

Do you REALLY think that will fix it... It stops before it loades any of the Maps or Game files, Everytime.

well verify the integrity of game files, I used to get that error when I had the lanfix (nonsteam) vesion of waw and it fixed itself

1) Right click Computer -> Properties
2) Click on Hardware tab
3) Click Device Manager
4) Disabled "Unimodem Half-Duplex Audio Device" under Sound, video and game controller
5) Start CoDWaW

That Device is not listed in Device manager. in I have the Genuine Steam Version and the Lanfix Causes the Game to have a APP CRASH. All Ready Verified files, Uninstalled the Game, and Cleared the Registry of any Keys/Values related to this game.

Wow, in all of my years with waw I've never seen an issue this fcked. If you haven't already tried, uninstall waw and delete everything related to it on your hardrive. Right click on world at war in your steam library, click properties, local files, browse local files, then delete everything. Do the same in app data, then download the game again. This should force steam to re-download the entirety of the game files and code without leaving anything that may have already been on your pc. Sorry man, I do hope it helps <3

I have the same issue, was able to play it last week and now since 2 days it can't open the game, I get a black screen and an error sound and when I alt tab I see the console thingy with the error. I've tried every fix I could find on google.
