Most people don't know I've been using a controller all of these years on FPS games. My last console was the original Xbox. I prefer PC controllers, but Logitech let me down with the F series. Can't play with that mess. I do have a Dualshock4 and I have one of the last Dual Action (discontinued) controllers before it breaks.
1) Go to steam at the top of your steam window
2) Go to settings
3) Go to controller
4) Go to general controller settings
5) Check PS4, Xbox 360, or generic controller support, which ever applies.
6) Close window (Naming is optional)
7) In your library, go to WaW
8) At the far right, in blue letters, there's the word LINK
at the very bottom of this Link menu, click on controller configuration
(If this isn't there, do steps 1-6 again)
9) In the window that pops up, click on Browse Configs at the bottom.
10) Go to community
11) Click on the top option by Neptonic (For Xbox 360)
12) Click Apply Configuration
13) Close window and open game. Controls should be working with your controller now.
The command is better, but this works with other controller types, and is customizable.
True but it's emulation based and you have to disable it for games that support controllers without it.
This game does support them you just need to use the simple console command to enable it.
