map packs included?
Howdy guys, quick question here. Are the dlc map packs included with the $20.00 version (currently $10) of this game? I didn't see them listed or any dlc listed on the game's store page. Thanks for your help.

there's no dlcs on this game, those dlc packs are on console. so yeah the game already includes all maps on the base game.
Skonata Nov 21, 2018 @ 8:56pm
yea you get all three in the base game

All of them included with the game for free, you need to pay just in consoles.

It was in fact DLC. The base version/1.0 doesn't have the maps. They've been added in a free patch, which had to be downloaded FYI. So it is downloadable content.

All if them yes, custom zombies would be a manual download from websites as theres no workshop

Some PC games in the past were done like WAW, getting stuff like free extra maps and fan content through patches and online downloads, not necessarily the same exact service model as what we have now. Steam has no WAW DLC packs to deliver. Everything is in the game from previous updates/patches throughout the game's life (as well as some other games used to do in the past). MW2 was the first COD on PC to do standard console paid DLC packs. That's the consoles' implementation of the paid DLC model and what consoles do is the standard across the board today.

Yes totally. Doom, Duke Nukem, Total War and etc. never had "expansion packs" in the 90s and early 2000s. It's not like the idea of extra content existed before consoles adopted the concept of being connected to the internet. If you want to mention free updates and fan content (mods?), games nowadays still have those. Killing Floor 2 receives free updates, you don't have to pay a dime after your initial purchase. TF2 receives free updates, CS:GO does too. There are also plenty of games that have mods on Steam and third party websites. But guess what, every company that adds new content for free, for the most part, gets money some other way usually through cosmetic microtransactions. Developing content costs money and if the devs aren't getting paid, they're just losing money. Do you think investors like putting money into a companyt and then receive no profits in return? If you're too dumb to understand a simple concept like that, I'm sorry. Stop complaining about DLC and paid content.

Do not quote someone, go off topic, and insult on top of that when it has nothing to do with the main point. That isn't what's being discussed and there are zero complaints in the post. Be sorry for your inability to comprehend.

You literally went off topic and complained in your first sentence of your previous post.

If you're too dumb to comprehend that you're going to have to pay extra for additional content, I don't know what to tell you. Official extra content was almost always charged for since the 90s. Just because w@w gave you the console map packs for free doesn't mean you're entitiled to still receive free content in other CoDs or any other game for that matter. If you want free content, go and download user made mods.

I used to think that you were just being annoying on people's posts, but I'm starting to think that you are really slow. You don't know the difference between an explanation and a complaint. No one's discussing what you're talking about, going off into some other discussion or argument (which you always do). People have already said it before you. It was you who came with the unnecessary, meaningless response lol

Oh okay, sorry. It's a complaint disguised as explanation, because no one would type it that way.
And yes I will argue if the other guy is a moron, there is nothing wrong with that. If you're fine with people posting the same ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ every week more power to you, but I am not. We've had this same thread about the map packs 3 dozen times by now, same as those "w@w is too expensive" thread and some other worthless garbage. I wouldn't go on these threads and complain if the original posters would have enough brain power to just use google or the built-in search function here instead.

And again please take an actual look at your post here and tell me you weren't complaining about Activision's, no the whole industry's, greed for money and them wanting to sell you a million DLC packs. I understand it, some games really wanna nickel and dime you, but it's nothing new. Paid extra content has been around for 20+ years now, don't try to act like it's something new and consoles are to blame for it.

Once people stop making these pointless threads, I'll stop replying to them.

How is it pointless? OP had a legit question and people here answered them right. The only pointless comment (and paranoid comments after) were yours, unfortunately. You should probably just stop replying to posts if you're not going to be helpful.

Sorry OP. I'll stop responding to this post myself.

Because it takes 5 seconds to go on google and find a million threads with the same exact question and answer. You could even use the built-in search function here on the discussions to find the answer. Again we have this thread at least once a month because some idiot can't be bothered to go on google and look for the answer himself. If you happen to not find anything on google yeah then you can go and make a thread, but if you can find a million answers for it on google why bother coming here and potentially having to wait a day until anyone answers your stupid question? It's the same with the price/discount complaint threads and the other various problems threads. They all have been posted dozens if not a hundred times by now. I won't stop responding to these sorts of threads. If you ask a stupid question expect a stupid answer.
