Online lobby list crash

Hey all,

In the last three days, I've run into an issue where loading into the online lobby list crashes the game (either from main menu -> online, or from exiting an active lobby I was in).

I have heard talk of people modding the game in a way that crashes regular users in the lobby list. (heard from either here, ingame or edf discord, can't remember)

Is there any workaround for this ? I'd like to play some online

interesting i never seen vanilla player crash that isnt in the match before

The only possible workaround is to install the mod yourself so that you are compatible with the rooms that use the mod.
I think you won't cause anyone else a problem unless you host a room yourself using the mission pack from the mod?

Yeah I've experienced that, I don't know any workarounds.

The crash for me is happening as my computer is retrieving the server list. The server list retrieval fails and the game crashes.

i play vanilla, i'm also experiencing this issue atm. i was able to play earlier today without any issues

Been playing fine today, until the last online mission I was a part of. I crashed when we got back to the lobby and now crash any time I open the server list. Offline mode, zero problems.

the same here... i played normally yesterday but i cannot login to the lobby today, it crashed every time i tried.

This means some jerk is running mods and their modded lobby that's populating the list is crashing your game when it tries to read it.

This is my first experience with it & yup instant crash after attempting to load online lobby list. How exactly has this not been patched yet?

lol modder cant crash if you havent enter the match fam , the lobby list crash is something else entirely this is from a person purely running mods

I have played 600h of this game over the years since release day, don't have any mods for it, and this started occuring for me in the past few weeks.

It can crash people. If someone's running a vanilla install then their game can't understand modded missions. Even seeing one in the server browser is enough to make it freak out and crash.

Wow im getting this right now. I go to online, get the "refreshing" message in middle of the screen, then crash.

Try verifying game files (Right click game in Steam-> Properties -> Installed files -> Verify). I had the same issue and this seemed to fix it for me.
