Visual C++ Runtime Error

Just purchased the game and I cannot even start it. Loads into the Unity splashscreen and then continually crashes out with a Visual C++ Runtime Library Error. Is there a fix or is this known about?

Same. I was hoping it was only a problem with the demo, but when I purchased the game I still get the same error

Hi All, sorry to hear you have trouble in starting the game. Try disabling your antivirus, reinstalling the game and launching as administrator. Yep...done that. Uninstalled game, disabled AV (not happy about doing this (how do I know what is being downloaded/installed?)) and reinstalled PCM...no fix. Still comes up with the 'VC Runtime error'...going to refund as this is not acceptable.

Mine seems to have been fixed by going to Add/Remove Programs, selecting the latest C++ redistributable, Modify..., Repair, and then restarting my computer

Refunding for now until this gets figured out, really frustrating. The answer of 'disable your anti-virus and install as Administrator' is unacceptable.

Was having this issue, this worked for me:
- Right click the game in your Steam Library.
- Go to Properties then the Local Files tab.
- Click Browse Local Files.
- Locate the game executable (the application).
- Right click it and go to Properties.
- Click the Compatibility tab.
- Check the Run this program as an administrator box.
- Click Apply.
