Patch notes:

1. Achievements (kill enemies, lock count, evidence and equip count) should now work correctly
   
2. Ghost won't lose track of the player
   
3. Added an extra set of portals near the end of the level, reducing the amount of backtracking during a run
   
4. fix a crash in offline mode
   
5. Cinematic can be skipped after the first time
   
6. Dexterity will now slightly increase the player movement speed
   
7. Dodge roll should now work correctly even when in aiming mode
   
8. Reduce the amount of deaths needed to unlock some evidence
   
9. Fix a potential problem with the Brute in case the player teleported to a special room while the enemy was on a wall and about to jump
   
10. Nerfed the boss damage and reduced punch speed
    
11. Fix a rare bug that was causing the player to unlock the same card twice
    
12. The input should now work correctly while in afk mode in the main menu
    
13. Coins should now work fine in hard and very hard mode
    
14. Fixed a bug with the talking door, if you were to change dimension while the door was opening

We are trying our best to make the game run smoothly on the Deck without the need for any workaround. This patch should allow you to play Paper Cut Mansion on the latest version of Proton.
We will start the process to get the official Steam Deck validation on the store page.

Some of you reported a problem with floor 6, a big thanks to markoh00 for sending us a video. We realized that the problem was not related to the GPU but to an error in the positioning of the boss on spawn.
We were not able to reproduce it on our PCs but we changed some of the code related to that functionality and we hope it will work correctly now.
Please continue being awesome in sharing with us any issue you find while playing so that we can fix all those pesky bugs lurking in there!

We have addressed some of the issues reported in the discussion forum.

1. Improved performance (especially floor 6);
   
2. The game will now start on the main menu, giving the chance to new players to access the settings (for example to change the language or the resolution) before the intro;
   
3. The intro can be skipped after has been completed once
   
4. The howl in the intro should now track the player correctly;
   
5. Players can no longer accidentally get locked in the VIP room if leaving the game there;
   
6. Grace period for traps after you change dimension;
   
7. Occasionally some levels were having issues generating the navigation mesh, resulting in a very low frame rate and enemies unable to move. The problem should be solved.

We will shortly update the DEMO too and the GOG and EPIC versions.

We are really sorry that some of you have experienced an error on launch preventing you from playing. Good news, we worked really hard to get to the bottom of it. A big shout out to hech363 for helping out with the testing, thanks!

We really did it! Did you see on the product page that Paper Cut Mansion is available? It really is available! Unbelievable, isn't it? I can't tell you how good that feels! ːsteamhappyː

We worked on Paper Cut Mansion for almost five years - including all the ups and downs that come with developing a game. Ha ha, I can't even remember how many times we almost stopped development. But hey, we made it - and I'm damn proud of that! And of our small but fine Paper Cut Mansion team:

The development was really a hell of a ride, but worth every second. And I hope you can see in the game how much heart and soul we put into the project. Talking about heart and soul, I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for accompanying us on this exciting, nerve-wracking and great journey. You are great! Every single one! ❤️

So, for now, we will sit back for a few hours and watch you all play Paper Cut Mansion. Man, we are really looking forward to that!
