How to send emojis in multiplayer matches?

Sometimes when playing multiplayer matches I see other players sending a "thumbs up" or other emoji. I checked the controls and didn't see any options for sending emojis.

Did I just not see it, or is there some way of sending emojis that isn't listed there?

Is there a list of "hidden" controls somewhere?

I know that on controller you just move the right stick in each direction for an emote, not sure on keyboard controls

Hold down the number 1 key and press arrow keys at the same time to send emotes with keyboard!

This is so hidden, I guess it's meant to be an Easter egg. I used to know how to do it but forgot and had to look it up...again.

Anything else we could be missing?
