I don't get it.

there's a lot of distracting things going on
it's hard to see what's happening
it just seems really annoying
but everyone loves this game?

I mean this literally has NES tetris mode... no it's nice to turn down the wizzbang and being able to make the boards larger is all I really need.

BTW can I turn my monitor and play in portrait mode?

There is no portrait mode, it would make it impossible to see most of the visuals (which are the main selling point of the game). It really feels different when you actually play it compared to when you watch someone else play, there's nothing else like it.

Well, you just bought a Tetris game called "Tetris: Effect". What did you expect? This Tetris game is all about fancy special effects and stuff.

It's more that... and I get it, this is a game for people who want to get high and zone out playing tetris. This is the tetris game for people who smoke grass. That's cool... I don't hate it, I just have crappy eyesight and too much flashing stuff gives me a headache, I also don't do drugs.

then what's your point? just play any one of the hundreds other tetris games that are out there. it has nothing to do with having to do drugs, i very much enjoy this a round or two of this before i go to bed, very relaxing.

Okay... I'm not saying you're wrong, it just seems to me without playing it, that it's that kind of game, which is cool but... IDK I wish there was a demo.

Besides zooming in on the board, you can also tweak the graphics settings and drastically lower the visual effects. It was something I had been mildly concerned about too (also no longer a spring chicken or blessed with good eye sight), but it turned out to be no problem at all. Really enjoying the game. There's a lot of content, numerous modes, levels, unlockables, etc.

Maybe they own it already on the PS4 or on the EGS.

Also this game is great, not your typical Tetris game but if it were then why would people buy another version of the game if it wasn't for the synesthesia and beautiful musics and effects?


I can easily find a Tetris game on the internet. I bought the visual and auditive experience.
