this weapons look like lego weapons for kids xD
You are projecting.
in his previous posts he said 1.6 is better lol.
try better, OP.
I hated CSS completely and utterly, and the fake teenager crowd pedaling it as the next best thing.
It so annoying to watch CSS take over and become a joke. They tried to do competitive games where everyone started with 16k money.
Just in case you people do not think wokeness is a threat and an illness, this is what woke people did to CSS and how they justified it.
- 16k starting money because the game will be more exciting for viewers
- Make CSS the game of choice even though unproven, because the graphics are "better" and it will be a better experience for viewers.
- Make two different versions of each map, one for "competitive". (Eventually discarded but fortified a stupid narrative)
- The beginning of removing darkness from the game for "balance"
- Refusing to acknowledge physics based trash objects and barrels were detrimental to gameplay. Literally a 30 second Hammer editor fixed that was never committed.
- The beginning of orange maps because the community because depressed and emo from the state of the game
- The beginning of over simplification. No continuity between rounds, guns were auto reloaded, ammo auto purchased and filled
- A step backwards in sound design. Compared to EAX or the Miles sound system, CSS sound was objectively non-working. You could not properly pinpoint footsteps. The sound effects of the weapons was extremely off putting, especially the silenced m4a1.
- Flashbangs flashed you from around corners for like 10 years before they fixed it
The game did have some bright sides. The source engine was great, mini games, things like advanced admin tools were created. Surf really took off. Community servers were populated and booming.
The soul of the game died because Valve stopped updating the game, left it in a terrible state, and then contracted a random company to improve it a decade later.
What everyone should know is that CS2 exists because 1.6 is amazing. Condition-Zero, CSS, and CSGO, were all pretty much terrible upon released and very controversial. If CS 1.6 never existed, there would be no Counter-Strike. Even to this day, CS2 being a very very bad game it is played because people are addicted to the 1.6 spirit and hope that it returns.
It is nearly beyond words the differences between 1.6 and CS2. CS2 is woke garbage and technologically is a massive step backwards in every regard. People will eventually learn the hard way that you do not measure technology by the way that it looks; it is by how it performs. CS2 will never perform properly as a Counter-Strike game.
CS2 have better accessibility to matchmaking, more game modes and more weapon variety (not just M4/Ak47/AWP/deagle).
CSO-NST and the other Asian CS games weren't that amazing but at least they weren't trying to take itself seriously. They had more weapons, maps, modes and player models. They even paid attention to assassination scenarios.
CSS is just a 1.6 ported to the new source engine without anything new. Hostages are back to 1.6 style, minor weapon balance doesn't seem to do much, everything new CZ brought were discarded (except for de_tides of all maps) and they removed assassination maps.
