The main concept is to get best gear and annoy people at grinding spots.
Sometimes it save traveltime to the next outpost....;)
PVE Server would be the answer maybe...
Would imagine 3 different kinds of server. PVE, PVP, and Insane War Server for the carzy ones...
Then literally everyone would grind in the pve server and ur rotation would literally be limited to a few packs, that’s not fun, and not good for ur income
PVP is in this game whether both of u like it or not (although this is unfortunate, the only endgame is PvP)
You sound like someone as if they’ve been memed almost every time they tried to grind somewhere. You can either defend ur spot or take someone’s spot (or u can switch to another server)
No one really likes the idea of sharing grind spots unless they’re in a party
And I highly doubt PKING happens on a regular basis unless ur in Arsha, well from my experience anyway
.
Or just not going above level 49 at all....
Making PVE servers will not happen even if people asks for it because someone could gear up easily by grinding there and then switching to PVP.
I will continue playing like this anyway, even World Of Warcraft got rid of PVE/PVP servers so I think PVP is the future of MMO games.
so the fanatics can gamble their gear just as before and use them to conquer the other guilds while everything on the map would be skill based and you can defend yourself from old players whose think they are skilled although they are not...
if somebody wants to troll on grinding spots then at least the beginners will have a fair fight
btw, i would be happy with pve only servers. the only limitation that you cant enter here with negative karma or a well known history of killing players in an unfair fight (system log, with more than x player kill, after x kill the character banned from pve only server forever)
Well said, and agreed on the PvP aspect of this game, which is so broken because of its insanely scripted fighting/action mechanics -- especially for such a game, a game that tries to pass itself off as a title with white-knuckle action.
I'm more of a gamer from an action oriented genre, but because of how much I enjoyed this game, and how scripted the PvP is, it has forced me to take a liking to life skills instead.
This is right and stupid at the same time. Some people want to play without PVP.
Believe me there are a lot people without a agression attitude, that have no problem to share a grinding spot.
I met more people like this in BDO, than the agressives one on popular spots.
Its about 1-5% of people willing to dominate other people. The only joy is to annoy other people.
This minority is vocal on forums, so the MMO devs are following their wishes....and later the MMOs lose 90% of their player base.It happens in all MMOs. Thats why people say MMOs are dying. BDO is a new fresh version with a good lifeskill system.
Why are the lifeskiller doing what they do? To get the one ultimative goal. The Endgame Gear.
If you lifeskill instead of fighting, you propbably less skilled, than the fighter. So you have a big dissadvantage on start. And if the devs follow the 1% wishes and tweak around on the balance, so why even trying to get to the endgame?
Some people just do the lifeskill for fun or to compete on the economical base.
Wouldnt it be more fun to kick ass some more competent opponents, instead of helpless dudes?
I guess for some of you the answer is no, because you play to recompensate for something....
I am absolutely for competing in PVP...
but if your stats are 10% under the best player, but he oneshots you....how do you call it?
I call it bad math.
If the balance is badly designed on purpose, so dont wonder some people want to avoid this part of the game.
On purpose to force us to grind, make us buy shortcut items to get to the endgame.
Go and play Overwatch or something like that. Why dont you accept, that there are people not sharing your opinions? What is your proplem with a PVE server? BDO has so many options to get rich ingame. Do you want to cancel them too?
I dont get your argument with the PVE server.
Probably your only problem with this idea is the potential missing of enough sacrificial lambs....
Exactly!
But without sacrificial lambs, no fun for the "Competitive".....dying server is the final.
Its not a critique on BDO, its general on MMOs
because in my Opinion BDO has so much options, I didnt test tnem all after 1 year....
There is a new generation of MMOs jumping into the footsteps of BDO.
let see if they do it better....
I was dreaming of Tekken in an open World for years. Thats what the combat system in BDO is.
But there are some issues with it.
To PVP in an open area you need to be sure your figure do what you want.
Most chars dont guarantee it.
Grinding in other MMOS was the hell. Here I like the fluent movements of the Mystique and Lahn.
The other chars stops somewhere annoyingly. The Striker is like the Mystique, but feels so heavy and slow....it burns my brain.
I would say BBDO should make the rest chars a little more fluent without making them overpowered.
