If not give it a try.
The folder is located in the Payday2 Install folder.
And do as Khan suggests. Try running/installing the files in the commonRedist folder.
Repair DirectX, PhysX and vcredist installations
1 - Navigate to your Payday 2 folder
2 - Open " _Commonderist"
3 - Go to "DirectX" -> "Jun2010"
4 - On the next folder, you'll find 158 .cab files, but you're looking for "DXSETUP.exe"
5 - Run the setup.
6 - When it asks if you want to install, uninstall or repair, choose repair.
7 - Go back to "_Commonredist"
8 - Go to "PhysX" -> "9.12.1031"
9 - Run "PhysX-9.12.1031-SystemSoftware.msi"
10 - When it asks if you want to install, uninstall or repair, choose repair.
11 - Go back to "_Commonredist"
12 - Go to "vcredist" -> "2008"
13 - Run "vcredist_x64.exe" and "vcredist_x86.exe", after each other
14 - When it asks if you want to install, uninstall or repair, choose repair.
15 - REBOOT
If the above doesn't work:
1 - Do the same, but select uninstall in each scenario.
2 - REBOOT
3 - Do the same, but select install in each scenario.
4 - REBOOT.
Do not skip the reboots, it's necessary for the changes to take effect.
Compability
1 - Navigate to your Payday folder, right click on "payday2_win32_release.exe", and select properties.
2 - Go to compability
3 - Click "Troubleshoot compability"
4 - It will run sometime, and then prompt: "Test this program with recommended settings"
5 - Click that, and if Payday runs succesfully, close it and click "save settings".
If above doesn't work:
1 - Go back to compability
2 - Check "Run this program in compability mode".
3 - Then select Windows 7, XP SP3, Vista SP2 or 98/ME. (Try them from left to right)
Note that this can also fix Steam overlay not working.
And do you have any of the listed problem programs running?
http://steamcommunity.com/app/218620/discussions/14/412446292758934434/#c412446292758943897
And try turning off ALL non-essential programs (including AV/Firewall etc) to see if any of those MIGHT be causing the problem.
After read the post i remember after re installation i not put Steam folder under ecceptionf of Antivir
I have AVG free edition, i solved just put in ecception the Steam directory.
