Hello,
I am afraid that the issue regarding TFA Base is beyond the scope of this addon.
As explained in the Bugs & issues report procedure, I will only
address issues related to the 'They Hunger Weapon' addon itself,
when proven that the issue is within the bounds of the code I
wrote for the 'They Hunger Weapons'.
If you want to use the They Hunger Weapons addon without any issues,
you will be required to disable other installed addons.
I understand that you would enjoy using the TFA Base with the
'They Hunger Weapons'. Please be aware that other users do
not necessarily want TFA Base or have to install it.
If I begin making changes to my code such that it accomodates the
TFA Base, then this addon will become dependant on TFA addons.
This would be risky, and would likely be to introduce even more
bugs.
Thank you for your comprehension.
For the moment, I recommend that you disable other addons in order to avoid conflicts.
As mentioned, the purpose of this addon is to provide a simple way for people to use the They Hunger weapons.
This does not exclude the idea that I might make a version for TFA, later on. I have seen a bit what TFA is about and it certainly looks cool.
However, and since the 'They Hunger Weapons' addon is about simple usage of 'They Hunger' weapons I would appreciate if you could report bugs that are related to the code within this addon and not from other addons, or if you could simply report other incompatible addons.
Thank you for your comprehension.
A user reported that toggling the silencer on the 9mm pistol would not work properly, while utilizing the 'TFA Base' addon.
Have you by any chance attempted to play in third person? If so, it is normal to see improperly setup weapon models, as no valid 'third person' weapon modeling is done.
Please, note that no intentions were made in the first place to create a working third person weapon model, as it is recommended to play in first person.
If this is the case with this issue you are speaking to, then no worries, as it is normal.
Good to hear. If I ever find sufficient time, I will look into building a TFA version.
You are correct about this, and I have no clue on what might be causing this issue.
The only thing I know so far, is that this affects mostly materials found in Half-Life: Source.
There is a chance that this might be engine related for which is beyond my capabilities to fix.
