Can't see the options button?

Make sure Traffic++ is switch on in Content Manager > Mods, then re-open Content Manager. If you can't find Traffic++ in Content Manager, do this.

The following mods sometimes prevent Traffic++ from starting properly: Zonable Pedestrian Road mod, Traffic Manager mod (disable it temporarily, you can re-enable it after setting T++ options), Runways and Taxiways mod (disable it once you're finished building runways/taxiways to get Traffic++ back).

Pedestrian Roads options

There are three options which relate to pedestrianised roads (rural lane and suburban street):
  • Allow Trucks – allows trucks on all pedestrianised roads.
  • Allow Residents – residents are allowed to drive and park on the roads
  • Disable Central Lane – enables bus stops on both sides of the road, but prevents pedestrians from walking in the middle of the road

Beta Test options
These options are used to enable recently added features (we do it this way so casual players encounter fewer bugs when new features are added).
  • Realistic Speeds – pedestrian and vehicle speeds are more realistic (slower); use with caution as you'll get more traffic jams using this, and cargo will be delivered slower (can cause FPS drop - experienced mayors only!)
  • New Road Types – enables busways and pedestrianised roads which will appear in the Roads menus; these will be included in your save games meaning you'll need Traffic++ to load them in future (use Ghost Mode if required - see later)
  • Road Customiser Tool – enables vehicle/speed restrictions and the lane changer
  • Prevent Despawn – when enabled, this will stop vehicles from despawning in traffic jams, greatly increasing traffic in your city (can cause FPS drop - experienced mayors only!!)
  • Improved AI – when enabled, buses and emergency vehicles are much more likely to use bus lanes. Note, however, that this has a side effect of causing them to cut across traffic if they want to make a left turn (or right turn in LHD maps) - you can overcome this by lane changing your intersections.
Huge thanks to CBeTHaX for the prevent despawn feature! Also, based on feedback from Traffic Manager users, we're hoping to make the prevent despawn an in-game option in a future release.

Ghost Mode

In Ghost Mode, Traffic++ is almost completely disabled – it leaves just enough code behind to prevent bugs when loading save games, assets or maps that contain new roads (busways, pedestrian, etc).

There are several scenarios where you might want to use Ghost Mode:
  • Loading T++ assets from Workshop – even if you don't use Traffic++, others might; you can leave Traffic++ sitting in Ghost Mode to prevent errors should you load any of their saves, assets or maps from the Workshop.
  • Broken mod – if the mod breaks for some reason, such as a new update to C:S, you can disable it's functionality and hopefully continue playing the game
  • Compatibility testing – if you think Traffic++ is conflicting with another mod, Ghost Mode allows you to test what happens when Traffic++ is removed.

What "Allow Trucks" is it? Just trucks or hearse and garbege trucks too?

Will u fix clobal transport AI? I want cars to choose better way, not only the shortest way. I mean cars must go to the hightway and must not go through the town, if they have to be on the other side of the city. Because of town has more intersictions and lights, so hightway much faster, but game AI doesnt care

Yes, Hearse and Garbage always allowed.

We are starting to investigate the AIs to see if we can make them better, it will be a slow process though as any slight error will cause big problems for users.

I personally don't mind having emergency vehicles cutting off other cars; an ambulance responding to an emergency must make all justifiable maneuvers to get to the injured: It could be a matter of life or death!

Realistic Speeds does not turn off without/with restart game.
Realistic Speeds turns off only by switching off Mod

i would love to use this mod, but i cannot increase the game speed with the mod on. other than that it is a great mod

The simulation speed of my game is a lot slower with Traffic++, but I still want to use pedestrian roads - will Ghost mode allow trucks to go on my pedestrian roads or will I need the mod enabled?

The next release of this mod (due in about 2 weeks) will be massively faster.

@Oscar in ghost mode the Traffic++ roads (like pedestrian road) will revert to normal game roads (from memory the pedestrian road turns in to a normal gravel road) with no vehicle restrictions.

It seems that the "Prevent Despawn" option overrides the ARIS "remove confused vehicles" mod. Can you add a "remove confused" option for prevent despawn? Those glitchy bastards are highly annoying.

I cant see bus lanes on my game? Que pasa? What is going on? mod enable, only Allow trucks and Ghost mode disable in the options panel. Please want bus lanes!

does despawn increase the maximum number of agents to spawn to the road? I thought there was a limit to spawning new vehicles

and how realistic are realistic speeds? there are multiple versions of time in the game.

I have a city that used this mod, but since Snowfall I played it with this mod in Ghost Mode.
Is it safe for me to load the city again, this time with the mod turned off completely? Or will it cause an error?
