Description
Built by special request for PartialXRay on the TinkerCity server.
This is an updated / reworked version of ThresholdSeven's Colonial Viper MKII.
-Unarmed by default, but has hardpoints for six weapons.
-Full Hard steel
-4x fuel tanks, 6x O2 for prolonged exploration
-2x internal Mobile Constructors

The original, aside from being severely outdated by game version, was designed for multiple players. I've reworked this into a one-man combat / exploration vessel, suitable for taking on POIs or general PVE use. I cannot speak to its effectiveness in PVP.

I'm not a BSG fan myself, and I prefer original work over reproductions. I built this as part of a trade deal (he specifically requested the black/purple color scheme), however the deal was never completed and since I'm unlikely to ever use this ship myself, I'd prefer to share it with the rest of you. Enjoy :)

I have been using this sv build for a long time now, it is my go to SV for taking down hostile alien POI's. I just pop on 4 rocket launchers and 4 gatling guns for the drones. I really like the way it handles in the side to side strafe. As other ppl have pointed out, it does not have any weapons on it which is outstanding because you can outfit with whatever weapons you can make at the time. I think this just might be my favorite SV bp on the workshop. Well done man.

Just recieved this SV from a friend and am loving it - added 6 gattling guns to the front and it mows down critters fast ! Only problem I have is falling off into danger if not careful - overall excellent ship - nice work !!

This is a near perfect replica of the viper from the show.Well done!

Not only that but it handles very well and can take a beating without taking much damage.

My favorite thing though are the weapon hardpoints.I wish more ships in the workshop went this route.It allows you to still build the ship even if you are still mid game and don't have access to the last two ores.Plus it gives me the option to set it up with whatever weapons I prefer.Great idea!

This ship is really cool, I love it, good job man !! :steamhappy: I modified the colors scheme and added my weapons of choice, really cool that you made it without weapon on it. Thx man I really enjoy flying this Viper !!

Don't place gatling guns in the lower weapon slots though! When shooting enemies bleow you and at close range (<50m or so) they will shoot the body of the SV, I guess because they zero to the crosshairs.

Fantastic. Beautiful aesthetics, handles well and can take a hit from turrets. Also I cannot overstate how much I love that you let players choose the weapons!! *scrolls through the billions of SV blueprints which require zascosium/erestrum* 10/10!
