Description
Tune your ambient sounds volumes individually

This mod is a fixed version of original Ambient Sounds Tuner mod. Read description there.

You MUST unsubscribe original Ambient Sounds Tuner before using this mod! Even if sound packs require you to be subscribed to original version!

This version should be compatible with all exisiting sound packs, although I only tested it with The Metropolitan Sounds Pack and it worked without issues for me.

Don't forget that to be able to use sound packs you must enable this mod and sound packs in Content Manager. You must restart the game after enabling a sound pack for the first time to be able to select it in AST's settings.

I haven't added new features yet (for sound effects that came after After Dark). Some old non-critical bugs may remain but otherwise this mod is functional. If some sounds disappear, try to zoom out camera to max distance, then wait for few seconds, switch sound pack to default and back to your preffered pack in mod's options. Some sound pack may have their own issues. Please don't complain here!

I will rework this mod into my own fashion later :)

Incompatibilities:
- original Ambient Sounds Tuner (obviously)
- maybe (test yourself!) some other mods that change ambient sounds in some way (although I haven't tested myself yet)
- maybe (test yourself!) ARIS mod pack (remove cows, remove seagulls, etc. - again, I haven't tested that myself yet)

This mod uses awesome detours C# library[github.com] by cope. Without it, this mod would've been impossible to make.

that would be cool to have this mod allowing us to change the sound of the planes that we could hear taking off from the distance and also having the possibility to change the default electric cars sound (they sound like toy ) =s

@BloodyPenguin

Hi
:^)

Do you have a mod out, like Dirty Dan's Level-Up mod, that allows us to say all the buildings in a certain zoned area should not go past level 1, or level 2, etc.?

Also, You seem to be "in the loop" with all the other high-techy-techy modders.....do you know if maybe Dirty Dan has passed away or has left the game for some other reason?

I only ask because he hasn't answered comments on his Level-Up mod since March 2015 and I'm starting to feel like I'm leaving comments for a ghost ..... literally, maybe......

.....do you know if he's still around?

@Photonic Sure! Honestly, I didn't update the list of supported sound types since I took this mod over

Can you add electric cars to the options, because they are too loud?

@BloodyPenguin, Tested and all working as intended. Thanks for the quick turnaround

@Getorix Sorry! Updated mod. Can you please exit Cities:Skylines, make sure that Steam updates this mod and try to check if it works now?

@BloodyPenguin, Firstly thanks for the Mod (great work) and thanks for keeping it and your others updated - Since the latest update, changes in sound level dont appear to be saving, i.e. turn off world ambient - next time you load, world is back at max vol. Any ideas?

This is my favorite mod. I cannot handle the incessant beeping. However wish I could turn only that off, though.

Forgot how annoying that beeping was. Thanks so much for creating and faithfully maintaining some of the most important mods for this game!
