ok i did getyour 1024 version and skyrim works just fine. and by the way everyone love the
Erik1988  [author] Dec 19, 2015 @ 3:19am
@SHINING MOON the 1024 version is better in preformance compared to the 2048, if your computer crashees after intalling it I would think that you have to many other mods so that the ram is used up. This mod does not add much MB, so its very onlikely that this one alone causes your crash, beside its only textures.

If you are already strugeling with skyrim on the lowest settings, I would not recomend to install any mods that have higher textures than vanilla (512)
SHINING MOON Dec 18, 2015 @ 11:56pm
no its not better for low-end computers it make them crash
"Merx" Oct 5, 2015 @ 2:16pm

Erik1988  [author] Oct 5, 2015 @ 8:49am
You can try the 1024 version. its better for low-end computers.
You can find it here:

It makes my game - very very slow - it lag! Where there is a lot of snow, it is impossible to play with? :S
Powerbutton2001 Jun 23, 2015 @ 5:15pm
alright thanks!!!
Erik1988  [author] Jun 23, 2015 @ 5:05pm
this texturepack have little impact on performance on most systems. However if you like a version of this that is better for low end systems, i would recomend to use the 1024 version at nexus.
Powerbutton2001 Jun 23, 2015 @ 4:36pm
does anyone know if this lags your game at all
(s.i.e) May 27, 2015 @ 6:32am

Heredom Nov 23, 2014 @ 4:11pm
good job ! probably the best snow improvement for skyrim (i confirm : compatible with BDS)
Erik1988  [author] Oct 28, 2014 @ 11:47pm
This works very well with Better Dynamic Snow, so you are probably using another mod that overwrites my textures. This is just textures, so it workes with everything. @Spazegamer thats just a steam error, try running it again a few times and it usually works.
Wampirzycaaaa Oct 27, 2014 @ 4:35pm
It doesn't work with Better Dynamic Snow for me :/
Spazegamer Oct 13, 2014 @ 7:12am
My launcher says it failed to get a file from this addon wtf????

JoraniusMinecraft May 8, 2014 @ 3:00pm
Looked real enough on the pics and if better in game... I immediatly subbed, no doubts there, this is bloody awesome! Thanks for this mod :)
Aj Mar 10, 2014 @ 11:58am
it looked real to me, good job
Erik1988  [author] Mar 10, 2014 @ 10:50am
I named it High Quality (HQ) to emphasize that it's good quality not just High Definition/resolution (HD). To have textures that qualify as HD is really easy - you just need high resulotion. HQ is naturally more diffecult. I do belive mine are HQ, even tho this is ofc my subjective opinion. :)

I'm glad you liked it!
Aj Mar 8, 2014 @ 1:55pm
i think you meant HD...
the snow looks like its real, this is pro.
GHO5T Feb 19, 2014 @ 4:31pm
this works awesome and it looks amazing! awesome job and thanks for doing this!
Erik1988  [author] Dec 6, 2013 @ 5:21am
I'm glad to hear that :)

@Ransom Seraph
If I remember correctly it goes from top to bottom, so the mod on the bottom overwrites the one on the top. You can safely put my mod at the bottom, since their is no mod that you want to owerwrite it. But as long as its after any other snow-texture mod then you are safe. If you are in doubt, you can just check the textures ingame. It will not break your game if you place this mod in the wrong possition, you will just not see the textures. In a nuttshell; put it under Skyrim HD. If you have allot of mods I would recomand using BOSS, you can google "skyrim boss" and you would find it, it sorts all your mods in the rigth order automaticly.

Yes this works with every dlc and all other mods (expect other snow textures ofc).

Putin is Gay Dec 4, 2013 @ 2:27pm
does this work with dragonborn dlc?
Ransom Seraph Dec 4, 2013 @ 3:17am
Wait, so if I want to have Snow HQ overwrite Skyrim HD snow texture, I need to put Snow HQ at the bottom of the load order (latest) or at the head of it (eariliest)??

I am still noob at some of this modding, so I will really appreciate help regarding load order and overwriting stuff.
AncienTz Dec 4, 2013 @ 2:28am
Your mod has no effect on my fps, so youre one of the lucky ones ive kept ;-)
Erik1988  [author] Dec 4, 2013 @ 12:54am
@Ransom Seraph
well its a texture pack so its pretty much compatible with everything. Just make sure to have the right loadorder so that my textures overwrite the snow texture from Skyrim HD.
Ransom Seraph Dec 3, 2013 @ 2:56pm
is this mod compatible with SKYRIM HD?
Erik1988  [author] Nov 26, 2013 @ 7:44am
@Connor. Let me know how it goes :)
AncienTz Nov 26, 2013 @ 7:06am
oh and i meant intel core i3 not 13 lol
AncienTz Nov 26, 2013 @ 7:06am
thanks very much =)
Erik1988  [author] Nov 26, 2013 @ 12:45am
@connor. it depends. Since the texture is bigger than the original, you migth get a longer loading screen, this is the time it takes to copy the textures to the ram. If you have allot of other textures that push your vram to the limit, then you migth also get some performance issues. I would suggest to try it out for yourself to find out, but since this is a small texturepack its not likely to cause you much problems. However you can download my 1024 version from nexus witch is 4 times smaller, this should definitely not cause you much performance issues and it still looks very good.
AncienTz Nov 25, 2013 @ 12:26pm
any performance loss? (my laptops not the greatest... especially since it only has an intel core 13)
''DaRuMa'' Nov 22, 2013 @ 4:19am
Okey! I Got It.
Thanks For Graeat Mod!
Erik1988  [author] Nov 22, 2013 @ 2:47am
This is the 2048x2048 resulution textures, if you would like 1024x1024 and/or seperart files you can find them on nexus.
''DaRuMa'' Nov 21, 2013 @ 11:17pm
May i Know If I Down Loud From Steam Work Shop,The File is Ver.1024x1024 Or 2048x2048 Seperate files ?
Erik1988  [author] Nov 20, 2013 @ 4:05am
Yes it works with most mods that affect grapics, a rule of thumb is that my textures work with every mod that works with the vanilla (original) texture, since the saturation/brightness is very colse to the vanilla. I also use COT myself.
walker7154 Nov 19, 2013 @ 11:18pm
is this mod work with Climates Of Tamriel mod?
