Excellent work. Thanks!
InuAres Mar 2 @ 1:22pm
Get a better video. one that doesn't have an annoying twat talking over the guard dialog.
Eck  [author] Feb 19 @ 4:56am
No, but it does add more options for you to respond to them depending on whether you're a Thane or have finished any of the vanilla questlines.
Arson with Lemurs ◕ω◕ Feb 16 @ 12:21pm
Does it dissable their constant commenting on my shouting?
LuminuzAlfa Jan 26 @ 9:58am
*O* Thanks!
mad_monk_1492 Jan 11 @ 10:00pm
I like the idea of this mod. You get tired of the guards saying the same things over and over. "Let me guess, someone stole your sweetroll." "What is it...Dragons?" "I got to thinking. Maybe I'm the Dragonborn...I just don't know it yet." I used to be an adventurer like you...then I took an arrow to the knee."
Moon Knight Jan 1 @ 6:26pm
Awesome addition!
Brangwen1 Jan 1 @ 3:51pm
It adds dialogue that already existed, with the "real"/old guard voice, so yes, it includes voice acting. And it is brilliant, absolutely brilliant!! :)
Computer broke. Again. Dec 28, 2013 @ 9:32pm
So just to reitherate: This DOES include voice acting?
LeadedMetal Dec 28, 2013 @ 2:00pm
a sword in the throat usually helps too - nice mod, thnx
Hræfn Dec 26, 2013 @ 9:30pm
If that fucking guy shut up i could have heard them :D Great mod btw
Eck  [author] Nov 30, 2013 @ 9:56am
No, it doesn't do anything to Dawnguard.
Beautiful Banjo Nov 29, 2013 @ 3:28pm
Does this mod do anything to the Dawnguard DLC?
Nemesis Nov 8, 2013 @ 2:32am
@Lypsyl, it doesn't replace ANY of the dialogue, it simply adds extra.
@midgefidget, The links still seem to work for me, the only one that doesn't is the one for GDOLite as it's been hidden by Steam.
Keith Richards Nov 6, 2013 @ 12:03pm
i love this mod, it does everything that you describe in the information. but does this replace any of the other guards dialouge effects? for example: you talk to them and they will tell you about a dragon that rests in north peak.
etrexler Oct 30, 2013 @ 9:25pm
I'm favoriting absolutely. Thank you so very, very much for figuring out how to do it...because it sure did need to be done! Great work!
myst Oct 27, 2013 @ 1:11pm
This is a really great mod. Now it's a pleasure to pass by the guards. Thank you so much for making this. Favorited!
midgefidget Oct 16, 2013 @ 9:35pm
I believe they've disabled outside links, this is the 4th I've found, Out of four
flame from Halo (moving [kinda]) Oct 15, 2013 @ 4:12pm
Amazing mod, I was standing there listening to a guard for 5 minutes. Rather than just passing by them and hearing "Oh did someone steal your sweet roll?" and "I used to be an adventurer like you..."
troy n taylor (soon to return) Oct 7, 2013 @ 12:20am
Aww i was hopeing it be tje latetst one
Nemesis Oct 1, 2013 @ 2:35am
@Toern, That Mod doesn't belong to Eckss so he cannot upload it. You'll also find that a lot of Mod authors, like Eckss & I, will no longer upload their Mods to Steam because of Steam's unacceptable legal agreement that you're forced to accept if you upload anything here, which is why this version of GDO is not the latest version. If you follow the link in his description you'll be taken to a site that has the latest version of this Mod and the Mod you're looking for and many more that aren't available here.
Yseliorl Sep 29, 2013 @ 2:32am
Also can you put another nexus mod here?

I need you to put the acrobatic jump mod that makes you do a backflip when jumping backwards to be on the workshop pls
Yseliorl Sep 28, 2013 @ 8:55pm
Thanks for this, i really hated the rude guards that do not give a shit about you being the dovahkiin...
ladysedim Sep 17, 2013 @ 8:21am
Really great mod. SO much nicer to hear their comments now :-) thank you for a fine mod :-)
Savoroth Sep 14, 2013 @ 11:28pm
brilliant
hyperparageom Sep 8, 2013 @ 8:11pm
Thanks for the improvement!
priaphae Aug 22, 2013 @ 5:53pm
best mod ever
Silariel Aug 15, 2013 @ 6:25pm
This is awesome. I'm kinda amazed Bethesda didn't do this from the beginning - so much less repetitive, so much more realistic. Thank you so much - it's these detail-orientated mods that really make the difference, I think.
Syrus Marks Aug 15, 2013 @ 11:11am
Yes, this! All day long!
Gadelong Aug 3, 2013 @ 1:23pm
This looks awesome. Tired of hearing guards being condescending after having saved the world several times.

Enraged_Ludroth Jul 30, 2013 @ 10:40pm
Love this mod so much!
I'm so tired of hearing gaurds say "Let me guess, someone stole your sweetroll?"
Excuse me? I saved the fucking world!
Nefnoj Jul 24, 2013 @ 8:17am
Ah, cool, thank you, usually I take the time to read those things.
Eck  [author] Jul 24, 2013 @ 4:39am
@Nefnoj, your answer is in the description.
Nefnoj Jul 22, 2013 @ 12:18pm
I think this messed with Anska's dialogue.
Eck  [author] Jul 14, 2013 @ 10:32am
That's right. All those others are Optional. If you don't choose one of them you'll get a normal account like most of us. Read the Terms & conditions and pick a UserName that you will be happy to keep, because you can't change it after signup and it's 1 account per person.
Enjoy. :)
It's Dangerous To Go Alone Jul 13, 2013 @ 1:31am
Oh, I didn't see an option that said free. There was a $1 one....or do you just not select any of them for it to be free?
Eck  [author] Jul 13, 2013 @ 1:28am
@The Foreboding Future, Nexus accounts are free.
It is possible to pay for premium membership, but not required - I'm not a premium member for example.
I wouldn't be part of the Nexus community if you had to pay to join - I don't have money either.
It's Dangerous To Go Alone Jul 12, 2013 @ 11:06pm
It's too bad steam demands you sign over your rights to the mod. The nexus thing doesn't make as much sense to me as I have no experience messing with program files and when I tried to register an account to download the mod manager it wanted to charge me money, which I don't have. Sad that I won't have access to awesome some awesome mods like this.
jocash Jun 26, 2013 @ 6:19am
Your so kind, My skyrim family is so sweet. thanks, I'll deffinitely try it. I'm having a computer built for gaming and maybe I'll have better luck too. I just hope I get the right processor and video card and stuff. I don't like interner explorer so I'm studing the other providers. Your very nice to an old women.
Eck  [author] Jun 26, 2013 @ 6:12am
jocash, Johnny cash, right? I was raised to respect my elders, so I'll try to help. :)
1. Create a Nexus account.
2. Download Nexus Mod Manager.
3. Install Nexus Mod Manager.
4. Click the Download with Manager button on the Mod you want & wait for it to finish.
5. Click on the entry for that Mod under the Mods tab to select it.
6. Activate the mod by selecting the Activate button in the column on the left.
Done.
If you need more help, sign into the forums (same login as Skyrim Nexus) and post a topic asking for help - you'll find us much more friendly and polite than most on-line communities.

All the best.
Eck.
jocash Jun 24, 2013 @ 1:24pm
Cause i'm old and stupid, I just can't firure it out, I've tried both manual and the manger, I can't figure out which files go where. I missing a step or something. I watch the totorials and those guys are great but too fast for me. I just can't follow. I'd love to be able to.
Eck  [author] Jun 24, 2013 @ 9:01am
@jocash, Don't worry, I'm not intending to take this mod down - It was uploaded under Steam's previous Workshop Agreement which is still valid as long as I don't make any changes to any of my Mods on the Workshop.
How come you can't get Nexus Mods on your pc?
jocash Jun 22, 2013 @ 1:59pm
When you go to Nexus will this mod go away? I can't download Nexus stufff on my comuter. I hope I don't loose your mod
gamecounselor Jun 1, 2013 @ 8:32pm
I just found this mod. Looks great! Can't wait to see how it changes my Skyrim world.
Futanari Deflowerer (Arzen) May 27, 2013 @ 11:32am
I see your motivations. And I also expect the Workshop to lose a lot of mods for the good of Nexus...well, the only thing I can say is, good luck with your mods and I'll be sure to look for updates on Nexus.
Eck  [author] May 27, 2013 @ 3:16am
The New Workshop Agreement gives the Valve Corporation ownership of a Mod Author's work including the right to re-distribute, modify, publish for other games and It even allows them to charge a Fee for Mods if they choose to.

It also requires that a Mod Author sign away all rights under EU Law by agreeing to the contract only being covered by US Law.

I like the Rights and Protection I have under EU Law and I won't sign them away.

I tried to make a small change to the description of GDO Lite and Steam has now hidden the Mod until I agree to the new Terms - which I won't.

I'm sad that I won't be able to continue providing Mods to you and other good people through the Steam Workshop, but I'm glad to continue providing Mods to you all, For FREE on The Nexus.
Futanari Deflowerer (Arzen) May 26, 2013 @ 3:12pm
I read some of the Publishing Agreement about uploading mods, but it's all in bureaucratic terms and I keep losing the point at every dot @_@
Basically, what's the matter with the new Workshop Agreement?
Eck  [author] May 26, 2013 @ 2:28pm
Because I refuse to agree to sign my work over to Valve as part of the new Steam Workshop publishing agreement I will be unable to update any of my Steam Workshop Mods and unable to publish any of my new Mods here.
If you like my work, it will still be available For FREE on NexusMods.Com.
You can find my content on Nexus Here[skyrim.nexusmods.com].
