You can skip part of the puzzle. The cube dispenser over the goo in the first room is close enough so that the player can catch it standing on the edge of the pit, rather than using the faith plate. You can walk right by the angled panel without needing to use the speed gel. You should place an activated glass panel on the ground to block the player.
Tell me when you've made some tweaks. I'll try it out again and see if I can find anything else.
