Holobicz Dec 8, 2013 @ 6:18am
Looks good, but i miss some chainmail hood. Don´t you plan to create some pleas?
Arcanity Jul 11, 2013 @ 10:21am
my only issue is that the light armor version is very plain and odd looking, i think the shirt's not long enough.
Arcanity Jul 11, 2013 @ 10:20am
one of my very favorite armor mods out there. i wish there were more... realistic chain armor sets out there like this one. Very befitting for a Jarl's war equipment if you ask me.
ajurebear Apr 25, 2013 @ 9:17am
I think the armour ratings are pretty well right on, realistically speaking. Historically speaking maille and scale were fairly similar in protection, with the heavier versions of the maille being, in some respects (but not all) better than plate. I look forward to trying these out.
adesbarats Apr 5, 2013 @ 4:42pm
The chain hauberk is crazy wicked! Nice job! The light armor version needs....something. I think if you put the fur colar around the light chain shirt (like you did with the hauberk) and go with dark brown on the legs then that would make the light chain shirt pop!
Rune Red Mar 16, 2013 @ 6:17pm
I enjoy your mods, but this is my favorite. Nice work.
ddak2g Feb 13, 2013 @ 8:58pm
I'm playing with an argonian. When I wear the light mail...gloves...my arms has been gone!! Would you fix it?
yvan Feb 3, 2013 @ 7:52am
Superbe armures . Rien à redire
La Papa Grande Jan 15, 2013 @ 7:14pm
Here's a suggestion: how about a mail hood?
A simple hood retexture would work, and add a lot to the mod. Great work!
[14e] Pentium l'ours Nov 30, 2012 @ 4:51pm
Can you move it to steel smithing? PLEASE!!!
divermark1970 Nov 19, 2012 @ 10:30am
i like the chain mail armor was wondering could you possably make the chain mail look more battle damaged or dirty rusty with dryed blood stains keep up the good work m8
drillbreaker08 Nov 8, 2012 @ 7:07pm
can ya make heavy versions of ur light and light of ur heavy cuz the heavy seems too long for combat but the light is perfect cept aint heavy
Cat1313 Oct 28, 2012 @ 12:11pm
Well done mod, adds an authentic medieval knight look. I''ve tried both shirts and prefer the hauberk on look and function.

I'd like to see a Norman helmet, a greathelm, and a Templar-style surcoat, some authentic- design medieval European swords as well.
Cole Sep 29, 2012 @ 1:04am
Don't like those short sleeves.
Ponty  [author] Jul 23, 2012 @ 12:05am
@Caro Awesome, glad to see it's working for you again. Hopefully it works for everyone now, pity about the file sizes.
Caro Jul 22, 2012 @ 12:54pm
Worked great for me, all textures are fixed and the armour looks great!
In the picture is my follower Marcutio with your Heavy Chainmail armour.

Also ignore Lydia's armour, thats a different mod.
Ponty  [author] Jul 22, 2012 @ 4:54am
I've just done an update, decompressing all the textures. It's increased the file size from ~15mb to 53 but it should fix the texture issues people are having. It'd be great if you could let me know it actually worked.
Caro Jul 21, 2012 @ 11:00pm
@Ponty Oh yes, it happens with all of the textures on all the armours for followers and myself. I need not to screen cap those because it looks the exact same as the previous picture. Best of luck!
Ponty  [author] Jul 21, 2012 @ 10:14pm
@Caro Oh my. That's quite a mess. I'll try uncompressing the textures (Almost tripling the file size) but that should work then.
Caro Jul 21, 2012 @ 9:46pm
@Ponty I screen capped a picture of my Follower wearing the armour.

Good luck my friend and I hope this gets fixed! It's a wonderful Idea but it doesn't work with my Skyrim! Would love the mod when it works for me!
creepingdeath Jul 4, 2012 @ 7:29pm
Nice work and , if your lookin to do more with the armor you could try the blender , theres alot of tutorials on nexus on how to use it.
Slippery Wet Noodle Jun 26, 2012 @ 11:35am
this is fantastic, good work :D! also you should make a mithril armor mod, like the one from oblivion. that would be awesome :D!!
aaron.morkert Jun 22, 2012 @ 12:09pm
yeah it makes my body basically invisible
Speed Weed May 16, 2012 @ 1:08pm
still make the oblivion chain armor and i will return the favor i PROMISE!
Ponty  [author] May 13, 2012 @ 2:28pm
Can someone link a screenshot of what's going on here? I think the texture compression might be the issue (although it works fine on my end)
premier666 May 13, 2012 @ 1:58pm
Weirdly pixelated for me too, at least for now.
Ponty  [author] May 5, 2012 @ 3:08pm
It appears some people have issues with the compression I used - I'll make a note to uncompress all the textures but it'll more than triple the file size!
Bob_Saget666 May 5, 2012 @ 2:58pm
when i see it in my inventory or crafting menu, and when i wear the armor, it's all pixelated and different colors :/
Randy Butternubs Apr 27, 2012 @ 5:45pm
When you find out how to edit the meshes please make the feamle model of the dress shorter and add pants onto the female model anyeays keep up the good work i like this mod alot
That Warrior from Hammerfell Apr 25, 2012 @ 6:27pm
perhaps bandit chiefs should have a chance equip it?
Kunning Linguist Apr 24, 2012 @ 4:10pm
Yeah, in red capital letters with flashy stuff >< Cheers mate.
Ponty  [author] Apr 24, 2012 @ 2:15pm
@bayzent It's under Advanced Armors, since they have the same stats as Scaled/Steel Plate. It's actually in the description, alot of people have asked that so maybe I should make it more obvious.
Kunning Linguist Apr 24, 2012 @ 1:00pm
@ChaosMaiden Well I think it is kinda to give the feel that the Stormcloaks were originally just the Guards of Windhelm and its territories, I mean before being the FSA. I guess they kept the uniform afterwards just to give more a feel that they were more "national" than the Imperial Troops, but you never know...

@Ponty How do I craft them? I can't find them anywere in the crafting menu. I just got Steel though, is it on advanced armors?
Malkira Apr 24, 2012 @ 6:01am
@bayzent
i am already using that mod, since otherwise i'd probably go postal every time i see guards/stormcloaks with this ugly helmet :s

so it's a good thing mods like this or
http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=9323 this exist

always found it kind of silly that all guards looked alike and all stormcloaks looked like all those generic guards as well.

and i'm pretty sure i came across some helmets and hoods in skyrim which make your character bald below them as well, it's just hard to see with most of them.
not to mention some random female bandits being bald by default... but i guess that's an elven thing :P
Kunning Linguist Apr 24, 2012 @ 5:50am
My problem with chainmail bikini is that it breaks my suspension of disbelief, even though I am a dude...weird stuff I guess. At any rate you saved my game from forcing me to go with that ugly leather armor the rest of my low level existence until I could craft Elven, and for that I owe you an internet, sir.
Kunning Linguist Apr 24, 2012 @ 5:48am
@ChaosMaiden

Guard helmets like this

http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=9514 ?

Problem with M&B models, specially helmets is that they make the models bald by default,ao you still have to tweak them a bit so it doesn't become "Skyrim, the Realm of Alopecia" (along with the rigging and adding maps stuff you have to do when you port models)
Malkira Apr 24, 2012 @ 2:20am
@Ponty now that you mention it, M&B might be a good source for decent armor models, especially some mods have some beautiful models in them, so it would be interesting to know if the creators of those mod would allow usage of their models in this way.
especially the vikingr mod might be a great source for nordic-style weapons and armor
Ponty  [author] Apr 24, 2012 @ 2:15am
@ChaosMaiden I might be able to get those models from elsewhere (M&B comes to mind), but I can't model myself
Malkira Apr 24, 2012 @ 1:57am
@Ponty i guess it's a good thing i'm done with Oblivion and Dragon Age, otherwise i might get a depression :s

now the only thing that is missing to make those armors my absolute favourite would be a replacer for this rather silly looking guard helmet, something like:

http://getasword.com/2406-large/embossed-viking-helmet.jpg
or even
http://www.aeimages.com/gallery2/d/489-3/02-viking-warrior-helmet.jpg

think something like those would look great with your armors.
but since i'm a total noob when it comes to making mods/models/textures i won't ask others to do things that seem imposible doing myself :D
Ponty  [author] Apr 24, 2012 @ 12:26am
@bayzent @ChaosMaiden You should see the Oblivion/Dragon Age Nexus' (or rather nexi) these days, it's pathetic

@Famtomerc It's a good idea, I'm not sure if the model structure is any different between the two games. I personally didn't like the look of Oblivion's chainmail though, especially the female version.
Kunning Linguist Apr 23, 2012 @ 3:21pm
ChaosMaiden Apr 11, 2012 @ 4:22pm
thank you very much for making such awesome looking armor! was looking up and down the armor section of the nexus, searching for somewhat immersive armors for females, but all i could find were plate-bikinis and chain-thongs and the like :/
no-brainer-subscription for me, keep up the good work! :D

^^ this. Good Lord this. Anime has done too much damage.
Speed Weed Apr 22, 2012 @ 4:48pm
dude no offense but you shouldve recreated the chain armor from oblivion but good mod though
Malkira Apr 11, 2012 @ 8:22am

I equiped the Heavy Mail with boots from the Witcher plate mods, looks great together. I do not think the female version look bad. Full Chainmail is not sexy armor and really does not look quite right with much of Skyrim's fantasy stuff (dwarf, elven, ebony, etc.) But I like the realistic look myself. There was a realistic period armor and weapon mod for Medieval Total War 2, the difference was amazing once played. Good work.
Ponty  [author] Apr 8, 2012 @ 11:08pm
@Hi Im Cuss Do you have the Advanced Armors perk? You need that to craft it.
Sir Viomedes Apr 8, 2012 @ 8:08pm
hey uhm i dled and subed the mod but it dont appear in forge?
