I am using a linux version of civ5 and i can't download version 11, i can only get version 7, but i got a complete game version with brave new world, any idea why?I even try install manually putting the files in the mods folder, but doesn't work this way too!

I'm not sure if this is relevant to everyone but for me, the mod made the game a bit too... easy. Basically, it makes it so that building World Wonders also gives you free units; in my case, building Stonehenge gave me a free ballista (Merlin), which did 40 damage each turn to Napoleon's cities and had mind-control powers. Suffice to say, I managed to wipe Napoleon off the face of the Earth before he reached the classical era.

Yea I have a bug where the tavern icon pops up over the adviser icon, instead of being on top of the info bar like in your pictures, just like http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=241188578 . It really obscures it and annoys me and I am not subbed to that one. Any idea on how to fix that issue?

Does anyone else still get the TXT_TXT graphical errors? It works fine, but I can barely use the mod with the graphical error in all the menus.

This mod conflicts with Civ 4 Diplomatic Features. The Text keys for Heroes of Might and WIsdom break when both are enabled.

Just one tiny (or maybe rather large) question, I use a mod called Promotion Expansion Pack and I was just wondering if you could tell me how to add some of the extra promotions from that mod to the heroes. Either by giving them the promotions free at start or by tying them to one of the existing promotions.

At the beginning of the game the settler starts with promotions, these promotions are unspecified and appear as do not enter signs. The settler is not supposed to be upgradeable. I had no other mods active. The promotions cause problems with the game. Bug fixes are required.

@Toadman Great idea on "Barbarian monsters". Faerun has dragons, which would be a great addition to Heroes.

This is the best mod I've found.

However, please give us the option to remove or alter the "store", because the AI always ends up with fully Legendary-equipped heroes, that are 15-20 levels above my heroes. Somehow the AI figures out how to level like crazy.

Settings are King/Marathon. Even though I am usually way more technologically advanced, the enemy Heroes become unbeatable.

*I would prefer that gear is found and not bought. If it must be allowed to be bought, then make it very expensive and require certain factors, such as completion of pillars.

I tried to follow your tutorial to make a custom hero but it didn't work. Does the tutorial work for custom civs, and if not, how do I make one for a custom civ?

Upgrade the heroes to better units. They start out with a strenght of 5, as soon as you research something like archer or spearman you can upgrade them to that unit(second or third button on left). The first upgrade is free, after that they cost money.

I usually don't upgrade them until horses and swordsman. i think you can buy time scouting and killing barbarian cams with mind control, lighting(staff-get them to move then stomp on camp).

Horseman for scouts, swordsman for casters for durability. Sometimes I will make them catapults or bowman if I am in an early war, for more siege ability while their spells are in cool down or saving them for heroes to pop up.

Need a response: My heroes are always weak - They are almost always weaker than regular units. Even if I give them "powers" - theyre overall damage and comparison when fighting other units is atrocious. How do I make them scale and become stronger? Im missing something clearly.

PLayed this with Communitas Mod, the same guys that did CIV NIGHTS and it works, except the icons for the heroes does not show above their icon. So it is hard to tell who is a hero and who is not.

This and COmmuitas are by far the best mods out there. If you can get the icons to show and see if everything gells with Communitas there is no reason for really any other mods also.

Work on those Fantasy Monsters. I want Kujo's coming out of the see for my subs and dragons flying around my f-15's!

I usually dissable the XCOM units and Robot (futuristic) but they could bereworked to fight big nasty fantasy monsters in the future.

finding hero in ruin will be too powerful indeed, and in this mod, normal units are not very important

How about finding a hero in a village ruin as a reward. Maybe too powerful considering the costs

I find the costs to buy a hero is cheaper than a unit. They are way more powerful thn a unit. They should be more expensive.
