Great stuff, simple premise, but actually had to try a few times to get the job done. Wasn't frustrating at all, and it also gave me some time to practice with the AI soldiers a bit more. They didn't always listen to me, but it wasn't a huge issue.

Well done! Squad doesn't answer properly to the movement orders, maybe due to the hard terrain. But, in my opinion, this is also the best point: very good localizations and long range shootings.

Fun mission, everything worked fine for me, with no errors. Frustrating controlling the squad, they refused to form up properly and take proper firing positions before engaging, but managed to get there in the end. I liked the tense, first shots of the war feel to it, like you were about to open a world of shit

just got to the hostages. and ive been impressed so far. lots of enemies, lots of combat. i like that. although im having issues with telling the hostages to rearm. not sure if its on the game side or mod side, either way, its possible to do it without them rearming. proving you keep your combat medic alive.

Honestly, time limits with AI are pointless. As a rule they get stuck in combat mode and will take EONS to move that 600m to the hostage point.

Nice one! Sadly lost three men, but got all the hostages safe back home (on the nick of time!). Only problem is that the friendly AI (they're lagging behind, getting themselves killed..), which is really not the mission builder's fault.

Why can't I command the AI? Really hard to complete the mission with the AI always opening fire before I get to a good position :/

Great simple mission. I played it once again with bCombat v0.17 and it worked great, My squad managed to wipe both AA, infantry and all armoured reinforcements. 2 casualties though ;)

When a left-over AA troop shot the called heli down, the mission didn't end, even though there was no other way to get the hostages out. Also, when the hostages boarded the littlebird, it didn't take off and was destroyed by the approaching armour.

@tomquinn11: Sorry, I also think autosave are necessary, and I usually put some! But if there isn't any, it was because I thought it would then be too easy... You've got one user save!

It was a lot of fun. The only thing i didn't like was that i couldn't save, or there was no autosave. Giving players more options will make a game more fun. On my third try, i was really getting sick of having to walk the 700 meters or so to the first engagement. Luckily i completed it on that try, but I don't think I would have played it again if I hadn't.

Absolutely loved this mission. Lost two guys but only one play through.
Put my men into line formation, hold fire. Crouch. Scanned the AA, tagged each soldier i could see through bins, watched as lots of my men called out 'eyes on target'. Selected my RPG guy and told him to engage the AA. Selected all and called out 'open fire'. they dropped all except a couple and my RPG guy took out the AA but caught a round :( After that same on way to hostages and that was harder as the enemy went down the hil -other side of the hut. Managed to rescue all hostages and call for extraction prob with a couple mins left before reinforcements.
Fun with the tracers and open nature.
Didn't need the explosives -as i had the Anti tank guy.

Very fun mission, and well designed. The briefing is very informative and tells you everything you need to know. I happened to lose a squad member during the operation and the end status of the mission actually reflected what happened, giving me a partial success. Great work!
