The counterattack was bit bugged, some of the enemies never advanced to the town and I had to send both apc's far away to find and destroy them.
@Pvt. Alrick Did you try having them advance more slowly? Send them to the outskirts of the town and secure the perimeter before moving in street-by-street to secure the town centre. The CAS can help deal with OPFOR vehicles. It might also help if you have your own squad advance cautiously into the town to contribute some extra firepower and so that you can better observe the situation and direct the attack.
Thanks for taking the time to make your missions! I'm really enjoying them and recommending them to my friends.
@Alex-X-x You can't give missions a star rating. You can only vote up or down with the buttons below the screenshot. The stars are calculated based on how many people have voted up/down (e.g. right now this mission has 46 upvotes and 1 downvote, which gives it 4 stars). As always, honest ratings/feedback (both good and bad) are welcome.
Well that's what I like. That's whay I make in my own scenarios.
One criticism though it may be my fault. The CAS from the helicopter was useless. All he does is get shot down. Why oh why can't helicopters in Arma stand back and lob in Hellfire missiles with pinpoint accuracy from 3 miles away? Why do they decide to go on a low level sight seeing jaunt over the battlefield without accomplishing anything?
I am hoping that by the end of the weekend I will have finished my next mission, which (whilst existing in the same vein as this one) will be more tactically complex, will last longer, and will have a larger overarching objective. If you want to keep the combined arms strategic dimension that comes with high command but have more tactical depth and a longer, more methodical fight then you might like to check it out when it's done.
Thanks for stopping by to comment.
