Bit confused about this, do I have to use 'Play Singleplayer' when using this?

I like the mod, but I don't understand why single player cannot create a lobby.

Either works fine without the other, however. But as I said, this started after The Last Stand update. They worked fine together before

I think this is causing a conflict with Rayman1103's Admin System mod that it hasn't done prior to The Last Stand update. This happens when hosting a local server. (works fine in singleplayer)

When transitioning maps in the L4D1 campaigns with both installed, it crashes to desktop with the following error:

411/ - info_transitioning_player: UTIL_SetModel: not precached:
models/survivors/survivor_mechanic.mdl

The character model specified may vary. Hasn't happened in the L4D2 maps as far as I can tell.

This mod has now been updated for the Last Stand update. I also added the option to remap the key used to switch to the melee weapon slot. You can remap it from the options menu:

Options > Keyboard/Mouse > Edit Keys/Buttons

There will be a big update to the game on September 24th. The files this mod modifies will definitely be changed in that update. If you try to play the game with this mod installed the game will likely crash, or things will not work as intended. You should either wait for this mod to be updated or disable the mod until it is.

This is best mod for people who don't have very many friends.
If only it worked with mutations but still amazing.

How do I get the melee weapons to work?

The commands for making bots use melee weapons do not work when using this addon, as well as through the Alt menu for bot commands.

Oh I think i figured it out. I was able to exchange my pill bottle for the bot's explosive ammo bag.

Something I've noticed, when AI bots collect explosive or incendiary ammo, i can usually use the source mod Gear Trade to swap my health pack for their ammopack but now that it's in its own misc slot, I can't trade with them any longer to deploy it. Is the only solution is to take over that bot and deploy it? Or is there a trick or hotkey I can use to grab it from them?

It's not possible for an add-on to mess up your game if it's not installed. Any changes an add-on makes will only be effective while the add-on is installed. Something else is messing up your game. This add-on doesn't even do anything with gravity in any way.

Verify your game's cache. If that doesn't fix it, try disabling all add-ons you have installed. If that fixes the issues then it's something in another add-on you have installed. If it doesn't fix it, make sure you don't have any weird custom settings set in your config files.

Uh, Ziggy? After I uninstalled this mod, ( I also deleted the stuff in the cfg file ) The gravity is weird, and when I load a map in the console and try to turn on the cheats or do anything, and it says "Please exit to main menu and type the map mapname in."

Did they change that so cheats needs to be enabled for it to work? I haven't played Left 4 Dead 2 for a while. Cheats didn't need to be enabled for that to work when I created this add-on. I'll look into that when I get a chance.

No, they aren't compatible. Generally any add-ons that do similar things won't be compatible because they'll both need to modify the same files. The add-on system for this game isn't too great, so each file can only be modified by one add-on.

For me the "Players are no longer slowed when they receive damage." also doesn't work. I know that it is affected by the command survivor_damage_speed_factor but that command only works if sv_cheats 1 is on. Also, can I use this and Competitive Bots+? Thank you for answers in advance

Hey there mate, I tried it out and it didn't work... I followed the instructions and changed the listenserver.cfg file as you said. I tried it both erasing and lefting what was written before there, didn't make a difference either. Just in case this is a incompatibility, which mods should I turn off? Like, custom maps, skins, or only mods that affect bots performance and the changes covered by this mod?

after I noticed the issue I removed all mods and trial and error tested it and cam up with these mods being the ones causing it. I have no idea why... Even when it is just General Improvements Advanced or Improve bots Advanced it does it, but with Simple it doesn't.

You need to start the game through the new single player menu. If you don't see it you probably have a conflicting add-on installed.

I'm having some really odd bug in which all official maps disapear from the single player list when this mod OR Improved bots(Advanced) are active.

That means no program is set as the default program to open that type of file when you double click it. If you right-click the file there should be an option to open it with notepad. If not you will need to double click it and use the window that pops up to select a program to open it with.

I went to the Library section and right clicked Left 4 Dead 2. I went down to Properties, clicked on Local Files and then clicked Browse Local Files... I then opened the left4dead2 folder and then the cfg folder. The listenserver.cfg isn't a file but instead has a paper icon. What's the problem? Is it suppose to be like that??

You need to navigate to a specific folder, create a file, then copy the text that's in the linked thread and paste it into that file. Go to the location that you have the game installed, you'll see a folder called left4dead2 . Open that and look for another folder called cfg . In that folder you need to find and open the listenserver.cfg file. You can open it with any text editor program, such as Notepad (comes installed on Windows).

After that you need to click this link and copy all of that text into the listenserver.cfg file that you opened in your text editor. Save the file and you're ready to go.
