Outstanding map - quite an adventure - a bit hard to see what to do next in the map, but it is there. thanks for creating.

i catched the cube which was up by standing on another cube ... i dont think that i did right but it worked. Good level! it takes 40 mins to me

This has been THE most fun test chamber I've played! The puzzles were very clever, the details were fantastic (like the swinging light, the hidden trophies, etc.), and the atmosphere was amazing!

What a bear that was! So, thanks!

I'm loving these maps, I wasn't able to find the third cube
Phaaze May 30, 2021 @ 3:31pm
Great level. The geometry of a boulder at the top of a hill near the first pedestal button is such that you can put your camera inside of it. Right near there is also a seam where you can look out of bounds (and get the "bright light" effect). The fan blades also only have a little collision.

Is there a way to untrap yourself if you smuggle a cube into the are that requires 3 cubes to enter?
TheSwayz33xpress Aug 24, 2020 @ 10:33pm
Nice level. Note that I managed to skip the part where you get the disk by jumping from the highest platform over to the third where the companion cube is
henpitts Aug 18, 2020 @ 7:03am
Yep. I did what Dan did.
Dan Jul 22, 2020 @ 7:18pm
Wew. Didn't think I'd be able to clear this one. The one mirror cube in the center of the room needed the walkthrough posted below for me. I was able to run through the rest though. Really fun and challenging map! lots of things to explore...
johannes Jul 20, 2020 @ 6:13am
Tryed half an hour to catch the mirror cube... I am done...

What a beautiful world you have created. Tnx!

interesting map i listened to the entirety of rubber soul before i finished lol
AYKO Nov 5, 2018 @ 11:18pm
In your maps (for Portal Series at least), it's so hard to see the target or which way to go. Map is so big and there's no indication as to which way to go, players spend most of their time looking around. My recommendation would be to make puzzles simpler and more challanging.
lfairban Sep 6, 2018 @ 12:06pm
Always an adventure. Including hopping moves in the mix made things more interesting.
chillgamesh Aug 5, 2018 @ 11:57am
Beautiful map, I got confused on how to proceed after finding trophy #1 and the walkthrough linked below has been taken down. Here's another one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G37FN8sD0DY

Like the first part, didn't touch any turrets and made it out with my cubes :D
Petutski Feb 22, 2017 @ 11:14am
Played this over two years ago. Great map even the second time around. Did not need the video this time! Thanks!

FINALLY. DONE. You really put my brain through the wringer!
BEST ADVENTURE EVER!
mbrown259 Jun 4, 2016 @ 6:45am
Some tests are just worth doing again...and again. This is one of those. Thank you for all the time you must have to put into these to make them so visually appealing and thought provoking!
mood3rd May 11, 2016 @ 12:18pm
ps. I just watched your walkthrough.
I got the reflector a different way.
the route to the 1st high area. you can get near (ish) & above the cube.
but the railings prevent jumping.
later I jumped down there from above.
landing on the railing. then jumped to the reflector, from there.
wierd thing is. the jumping from the cube you did, briefly crossed my mind earlier.
but I mistakenly, did not think it would work. so did not try it. [\spoiler]
mood3rd May 11, 2016 @ 12:03pm
good work / map.
no turrets were harmed during testing:

needed to come back to this map, as getting the reflector eluded me for a long time.
the climbing or jumping to areas, that normaly don't work in other maps.
stopped me seeing or considering them for a while.
everything else seemed smoth & logical.
only 2 trophys found

THIS WAS THE BEST MAP I EVER PLAYED FOR REAL!!! I wish VALVe knew you for this, seriously, if even you think this was just a chamber, you're wrong, this was perfect, something VALVe should've done along the old aperture before the gels, the orange Aperture sign wasn't even sued ingame, IIRC, only in loading screens, but damn, THIS WAS PERFECT!!!! Couldn't find Trophy #2 coz i'm desperately to play all of your maps, i've subscribed to all of them from the very first one! hehe! CONGRATULATIONS!!!
mbrown259 Dec 13, 2015 @ 8:15am
Another excellent map. I had to pause and walk away several times to clear my mind so I could come back with a fresh perspective and try some more. Please keep making more of these.

La petite Magicienne ( are you French ?)
Love exploration in video games specially with clever puzzles.
You bring these ingredients in all your maps I've played here and before.
Enjoy this "adventure taste" and thank you a lot for all the nice moments I've spent with your signature, and again with this map.
I look for the sequel of series
danne11man Mar 10, 2015 @ 11:58am
Great map, love this after doomsday puzzle maps
donovan_mg Mar 3, 2015 @ 8:13pm
The part where you have to place the beam cube in the hidden room was a pain in my arse! I kept trying to point it at the ceiling where the damn recepter is. I had to watch a youtube vid to find out that all I had to do was lay it on the ground and scoot it into the beam.. seitting it in it doesn't work. Fun level though.. awesome!
stephen.slater Mar 2, 2015 @ 10:53am
Total enjoyment i would have been happy to pay for that.Im off to check out the rest now or maybe i should eat and drink first lol.
40ozKilla Feb 3, 2015 @ 8:05pm
Beautiful level desgin. Absoloutley gorgeous. The test played perfectly with the enviroment. I don't know what people are complaining about concerning the difficulty? I thought it was easy-medium difficulty. Great work. Thumbs up!
Johannes-im-Dampf Jan 10, 2015 @ 12:51am
A masterpiece again. Very good.
gotredonyou Dec 22, 2014 @ 8:22am
Got lucky and grabbed the reflecting cube on my 2nd try. Some of the moves required are a bit difficult. Ambitious design! Thanks for all the hard work!
StabGami Dec 7, 2014 @ 6:46am
Look, man...placing blind buttons and near-impossible jumps does not make for clever level design. I'm usually a fan of this map builder, but this level was just too difficult, and I am a VERY GOOD Potral 2 player. This guy's other maps show some real creativity. This one just had passageways that go nowhere, and buttons that do nothing visible. Not good. Thumbs down and moving on.
Aspazmodic Nov 16, 2014 @ 2:26pm
I still don't know what the button in the laser-receiver room does, but i managed to finish the level. Took forever, and I also found the 5 trophies (on 2nd run through), with no walkthrough. Very VERY difficult level. I liked it, but would recommend clarifying what buttons affect what.

your concept and design are spectacular, please keep more puzzles coming!
Lachy Nov 16, 2014 @ 9:37am
It's not really clear what some of the buttons did at first. Unless you happen to be looking in the right direction after you press it, you miss what it did. I later found out that they exposed the portal panels right next to them . You should make this clearer in the map, though. Displaying the dots would really help.

It also took me a long time to get the light cube. I found a solution by jumping down onto the top of that column from up above . Then, after I got it, I couldn't figure out what to do with it. I eventaully gave up on this and found a walk through video on youtube that showed me what to do with it. That was frustrating. I've never had to do that with any maps before.
Ice Boston Aug 1, 2014 @ 1:46pm
I Tried this one when it first came out and gave it up. The thing that stumped me then and almost again was jumping up to grab the Lensed Cube. It doesn't look possible and it took me a LOT of tries to fianlly do it. Other than that, a very well done and inventive design.
ROKDAWG [ROK] May 20, 2014 @ 9:43pm
Hey Man I just want to say that I really had a good time figuring out your test chambers.

Finally someone who thinks outside the box!

(as opposed to outside but right up next to the box)

=O)
Petutski May 13, 2014 @ 8:47pm
Wow, what an excellent adventure! Except for getting the redirection cube, it was fun! Thanks for the video!
Tyr Anasazi Apr 16, 2014 @ 8:42am
I liked it a lot. and a some of the other guys have written, it's rather frustrating to have to NAIL most of the jumps spot on. A bit off and you miss... used a dusin savegames or so on this one.
76561198056354432 Feb 27, 2014 @ 8:57am
I too am giving up on this one. I have tried way too many times, even after watching the video, to get the laser redirection cube off, and just cannot do it. Too bad, it looked like it was going to be a good series.
dues Feb 10, 2014 @ 9:23am
Ya I gave up on this one. I don't care for maps that require you to make jumps at the edge of the players reach. Your puzzles are a bit too linear for my taste as well. Very Donkey Kong, (how high can you get?). The visuals are quite nice tho. I just get frustrated if i can't make the jump on 2 or 3 tries. It's nice that you add a "failure surface" for those spots, but it still annoys me. It looks nice, but it's just not for me.
skullbunnysen Jan 21, 2014 @ 12:04am
These are amazing! I'm going to (hopefully) do them all. Quite difficult to figure out what to do at times, but very satisfying when you finally do. I almost gave up but I'm glad I finished it. And I love all the artwork!
SvS Jan 20, 2014 @ 1:09pm
It's a marvelous Map. But I can't do it without a little help form the video
"Cactus Jack" Gamer Nov 29, 2013 @ 1:15pm
it's beautiful, and I love the exploration elements too often removed from other maps, but too platform-y for my tastes. if you ever thought "portal is a great game but i just wish the jumping was more unforgiving".
mausilibaer Oct 15, 2013 @ 8:07am
Thats awesome. Beautyful landscapes, much searching, sometimes thinking and always new pathes to find. One of the best maps here and I think it is a litte bit underrated.
Barnaba Aug 3, 2013 @ 3:31pm
Awesome map. Not too easy, beautiful to look at. Very good implementation of "save points".
ProfDave3d Aug 2, 2013 @ 7:25pm
Your levels are beautiful to look at, but I can't seem to solve them. I get too frustrated when I can't even make simple jumps or figure out what buttons do, and so on.

But the levels are so nice-looking that I still enjoy watching the playthroughs!

Thx Potato, I'm honored !

The best map I've ever played, in my entire life.
As an avid Portal player, with more than 180 hours of game time - that's an accomplishment :)
