I downloaded this and promptly created a set of ground nodes for cs_office. Saved, moved the file, loaded it up, and I finally have Combine chasing me through the halls and around the desks, navigating like total bosses.

This is a great addon but I have two things,
1 - Air nodes dont seem to affect birds (NPCs)
2 - There is no jump node, as in jumping off a ledge. Can this be done a ground node?

Can someone make a video tutorial for this because I'm not so good with in-depth technicall crap, and explaining it to me via text usually is hard for me to understand and follow correctly... Just asking.... :)

I tried to do this on a map without nodes, but npc still couldn't move, do I need to do anything other than save it?

Thanks for the addon. This works great for Team Fortress 2 maps that I want to mess around in singleplayer. Although to addon users, I suggest copying the original .ain file of the map you're going to work on somewhere in case you want a backup if something goes wrong.

If anyone is having trouble converting the "mapname.txt" file you get after you save the graph to an .ain file (like me), I found an easy way to do so off the internet (for Windows XP and 7).

"Open the folder containing the .txt file
Click "Organize" then "File and search options"
In the "View" tab find "Hide extensions for known files types" and uncheck
You should now see the .txt file suffix and be able to change it to .ain

(You'll get a warning message that you might corrupt the file by doing this but as it's exactly what you were doing in XP you can ignore it)

If you need to do this regularly then leave the tick box unchecked otherwise reverse the process to hide the file extensions when you don't need to."

This isn't working for me. I placed all of the nodes on a DOD map, and I followed everything it said, I used WinRAR to change the file type, I placed it where it needed to go but when I load the map, no ai nodes.

Any help?

Ah so that's the problem. Well then you have my apologies if what I said came off as rude. It is quite disappoing though not being able to add climb nodes in-game due to a problem out of your control.

It's not 'fixable' because climb nodes cannot be created via the nodegraph alone.

It seems that you "can" edit built-in nodegraphs, avoiding the "nodegraph out of date. Rebuilding" thing. I created a discussion covering it. Proof []

I was able to completley node cs_assault and cp_dustbowl. Also noded rp_consruct_v1 with my bare time. Great addon for those who don't prefer to use Source SDK.

Well, I just mashed a bunch of buttons and I still can't figure out how to change the actuall file type. Are there any programs out there that can change a .txt to an AI Node file?
Please send a link or describe how to change file types. (My PC has Vista so beware and prepare for any complications :P)

why dosent someone remake this tool so it works a 100% or at least 90% and get to the top of the mod lists
I'm going to look into the map - "gm_construct_flatgrass_v6-2" it seems to have the choppers and gunships operate perfectly, I might like some assistance in looking into it.
Adressing Mamao39 - The air nodes are quite weird, it seems to lack the ability to lead choppers and gunships but, In the case of Synth Scanners, City Scanners, Manhacks, etc. they can follow them just fine. I will have to look in to it and see if I can find out why choppers and gunships lack the ability to follow them.

To use your nodes, rename the "mapname".txt to "mapname".ain. Then copy it to maps/graphs. Then when you run the map, your nodes should be working.

Ok. PLEASE explain to me. I have used the nodes for a map, and I saved it. I saved it, but it will not save the work I have done with the nodes, which only shows a a text file. How do you save the nodes to a map EXACTLY?
