Here's what I like, The chamber is reminiscent of its predecessor but you add a bit of a personal touch with some new elements. It has an amazing sense of flow and really feels like your being flung around wildly. I like the bounce gel part the best. It was so well implemented and perfectly timed! Visually the chamber is nice. Very clean and stark but it still seems to capture the feel of that old level.
Here's what I don't like. The flow that I praised is broken too often by that irritating jump section. You just don't have enough time to place your portals. Instead of a fast paced flinging it turns more into a exercise in trial and error. Also the floor button and emancipation grill on the first ledge are unnecessary. Also I can portal over to the first ledge without using speed gel.
Overall a great chamber, gives us the rose tinted glasses but isn't afraid to add new things. It suffers from a large problem of its flow being constantly broken. You should give players a longer time to fire their portals to keep the fun and fluid motion intact.
(is in two parts because I went over word limit)
