Land Ironclads

Beschreibung
This mod incorporates the land ironclad line of units from the Empires of the Smoky Skies scenario into the game. They are unlocked by an alternate technology line, available after discovering steam power. The mod's features are:

- Land Ironclad, Landship and Land Leviathan units
- Luboric resource
- Eruptives, Landships, Infernal Combustion and Land Leviathan technologies
- Luboric Refinery building (which now, instead of providing luboric, provides a bonus to production and a bonus to production on luboric tiles)

Credits to sukritact for making the Luboric icon and font icon, to Pazyryk for discovering the method which eventually allowed me to add custom 3D resource graphics to the game, and to chrome-rome for making the Eruptives, Infernal Combustion and Luboric Refinery icons.

Can you do the same with the Airships and Biplanes from the Smoky Skies Scenario and the 2 different gunboats from the Civil War Scenario? Thanks

Hey twsworld, since a certain update to Civ5 it doesn't even run for anymore =/ So I can't do any further modding

Thanks, Fenrisfil!

It works quite nicely with BNW btw. Not only that but it seems to work with other mods that mess with the tech tree as the additions are isolated. At least I haven't had any trouble on either count. Nice work.

KaijuJaegar19, that's an interesting point, in fact, I thought quite a bit about this when making the mod. In the end I preferred to include both landships, because they represent different things and to keep diversity; it is true that the SE landship is stronger, but it costs luboric, and the SE landship tech line is a dead end, so there are benefits and costs to choosing to research the tech for either landship.

My personal opinion is that you should have replaced the weaker 60 CS landship with the stronger 70 CS Landship and remove the landships tech all together. Having the stronger SE landships in the game along with the G&K landships is pretty pointless as you will obviously go for the stronger SE landship rather then the G&K landship, but thats just a personal gripe. ^^

jfesser: I don't know, it was made for Gods and Kings... so quite possibly not, unfortunately.

Does it Works with BNW??

Yes, it requires Gods and Kings.
