As for how you solved the puzzle eventually... I'm a little puzzled by that myself... If you could, could you record a demo of you playing through the puzzle so that I can see exactly how you did what you did? It would be much appreciated if that's possible!

to get the first companion cube i just walked on the edge of the fizzler..didn´t use the button(the first cube shouldn´t auto-drop)...and then i just went to the exit,because i saw the second companion cube there...i didn´t use any of the cubes,or balls or gel...i just walked out.. you might wanna check for that.. i tried to find out the intended solution,but i really couldn´t find any use for the conversion gel..
