Mounted Ninjas

This mod adds the powerful Mounted Ninjas to the game. These units are armed with deadly naginatas to give them a longer reach, and allow them to make a stand against enemy cavalry units. The Ninjas are riding some of the most well-bred horses, this combined with their light clothing and excellent riding skills, makes them the fastest unit in the game. Because of this they have a massive charge bonus, and they can fling there dangerous fire bombs farther then their foot counterparts. On top of this all, these ninjas can deploy anywhere, and hide whilst walking or standing still, wherever they are. Add to this the warcry ability and their blinding grenades, and you've got yourself a very powerful unit!

However, like any mounted unit, the Mounted Ninjas are weak to spear units. Their low armour also makes them vulnerable to enemy missile units, if you allow them to fire on these masters of disguise. Their small unit size also means that they are vulnerable if left in melee for too long, which makes them a micro-intensive unit. Also take care to avoid friendly fire from the fire bombs and blinding grenades!

In the campaign the unit can be recruited when you have a warhorse stables (stables L2, warhorse resource required) and a cryminal syndicate (stealth/ninja chain L3).

This mod was mainly made for fun, and to get to learn the assembly kit a little, so dont expect perfect balancing. However, if you do have a good tip to improve the mod, don't hesitate to voice it!

The mod has been optimized for full compatibility. The mod only add units, so all data is isolated, which means it should be compatible with any other mod. However, sound problems, which are common among all mods that add units or sounds, might arrise if multiple mods are installed at the same time.

-Click 'Subscribe'.
-Next time you open Shogun 2, a mod manager will appear, and the mod will be downloaded
-Make sure the box next to 'mounted_ninja.pack' is checked.
-Click 'Launch Shogun 2', and the game, with the mod, will start.
