Honnestly, It that was my map, I would fix this "solution" because we just missing the fun part!
Then I've found an ultra easy solution without any "bump" and was quite disappointed :( Was that intended?
1) 2 portals on 45° panels (one up, one down)
2) drop a sphere into them: getting infinite vertical velocity
3) portal on floor, facing funne. Sphere just go out with 45° angle and.. that's all folk.
No blue gel, no cube, no bump!
Reading the comments, I figure it wasn't the "good solution" (which is quite original, if I've understood correctly).
(sorry for my approximative english. I'm new with F4F things, but if you can test one of mine and give a feedback, would be nice! :) )
Recently, I had a very similar idea for a puzzle named "Batter, up!", but I haven't got around to creating it yet.
