Tweak Arma 3 Easily

Quick and easy method to gain some FPS!

Arma 3 Launcher

• Start Arma 3 Launcher
  
• Click on "PARAMETERS" in left column
  
• Click on "ALL" tab

1. Check first line "Platform" if configured correctly by "Default (64 bits)"
   
   
2. Check "Switch logos on startup"
   
   
3. Check "Number of CPUs" and indicate how many core your CPU has (Google[www.google.com] can help)
   
   
4. Check "Additional Threads" as well as the other 3 "File Operations", "Loading Texture" and "Load Geometry" only if more than 2 core
   
   
5. Check "Enable Hyper-Threading" only if your processor is an Intel (available for mainly of them, in case check Google[www.google.com])
   
   
6. Check "Memory Allocator (64-bit)" and select "Intel TBB 4 allocator ... .etc" only if your processor is an Intel
   
   
7. Check "Allow large pages"
   
   
8. Check "System memory limit (64 bits)" and specify the amount of RAM you want to allocate to the game (GB/MB Converter[mon-ip.awardspace.com])
   
   
9. Check "Video memory limit" and indicate how much memory your graphics card has (Google[www.google.com] can help) (GB/MB Converter[mon-ip.awardspace.com]) (example: GTX 970 / 3584MB)
   
   
10. Check "World" and select "empty"

Do not hesitate to add the parameters you just changed to your favorites!

Performance binary

You can also use the Performance binary[forums.bistudio.com]

• Right click on Arma 3 in your Steam library, choose "Properties"
  
• Select the "BETAS" tab
  
• Copy/paste the code CautionSpecialProfilingAndTestingBranchArma3 then "CHECK CODE"
  
• Finally, still in this "BETAS" tab, use the dropdown list to select the branch "profiling - Performance Profiling Build"

Graphic options

• Please adjust your graphic settings according to you PC specifications. You are the only master of these settings, which will significantly impact your FPS in game; do not be too greedy ;)

Tip

• Small trick in game: hold CTRL (left) + SHIFT (left) + "-" (numeric keypad) and type "FLUSH"
  (Simply, it allows to update memory of the game which stores all objects when you travel on map)

@SoraDraft Sadly (as you can see into "Memory Allocator" selector) there is no option for AMD processors.
