Raido Exodus

Description
RAIDO CORPORATION EXODUS

ALPHA 6.0

Exodus is a support vessel for up to four crew members. If need be, it can be fitted to carry more people on board - but its main purpose is to support Raido Corporation fleets with supplies such as food, spare parts and smaller utility and scout vessels. It's main feature is a hangar that goes thru the whole vessel - it is usually loaded with up to four small or moderate sized SV's or HV's. Fully self sustainable - Exodus has nine grow plots, but can easily accommodate 18 more. Or if need be, even 27 - for a total of 32 grow plots.

Exodus is very versatile with its double constructors, lots of cargo space, armor and repair stations alongside basic medical facilities arranged in easily accessible way in the hangar. This makes Exodus also very popular among rogue mercenaries - working as a base of operations in deep space. While not a combat vessel in any shape or form - Exodus has lots of defensive turrets to discourage attackers and keep drones and hostile lifeforms at bay.

Neat, I was looking for this ship cause they used it for the "campain", it is one of the blown up ships in orbit xD

@zfrank67 Thanks for the feedback. Exodus is meant for the smaller starter vessels - like Wombat HV and Grasshopper SV. I am working on more of a mid/late game combat CV that will fit Tigershark easily. It has similar thru the ship hangar - but obviously it's more complex and much more expensive.

I feel like I'm missing something re: SVs and this ship. I love it's simplicity and layout as an exploration/mapping vessel, but I can't get any SVs in here. I had to trim the wings off your Tigershark to get it to fit. Are all my SVs just too big?

@Nivana Hey! Nice to hear and thanks for the feedback. Yeah, sadly ramps are not ideal as they have quite large hitbox - and it doesn't matter whether they are open or closed. But as we don't have proper landing gear or such - it's something I've been experimenting on.

Hey rainyday. After having played through several new scenarios, I will just say this is my go-to ship now for new starts. I browsed several other workshop submissions, trying to find other low cost CVs. I just keep coming back to this. I can't figure how you have the build cost so low. Everything else I am finding costs 10k iron or more.

The only problem I have with this ship is how difficult it is to land. I tried putting landing struts on the bottom, but they place asymmetrical and end up in odd positions. Even on flat landing pads, the ship tends to lean over when propulsion is switched off. This is where motion sensors for the ramps come in handy. Extend sensor range a few blocks down beneath the ship, and you can call the ramps down and jump up.
