Howdy!
Welcome to the Hyper Knights Steam Workshop!

Workshop lets you add custom Weapons, Shields, Armor and Helmets!
Draw the images in the correct sizes and positions, create in-game objects and use the Workshop menu to upload.

Please refer to the Sample folders inside your game installation folder for examples.

Create an Object
Now that you have your images in the correct format and size, place them in the Workshop folder located inside your game folder.

Launch the game, go to "Play" -> "Workshop"

Select "New Object"

Here you see all the sprites located in the Workshop folder, select the one you want to use and fill in the fields.

Name:
Sprite Name

Type:
Type of Object: Weapon; Secondary; Helmet; Armor

Spawn As:
Default value the object will spawn as. Can be changed in Game Settings

Max Uses:
Maximum number of times this sprite will be used in the game world.

Press Create and you're done!
Now when you start a new game the Object will be present in the Game Settings!
Uploading to the Workshop
Launch the game, go to "Play" -> "Workshop"

Select "Upload Workshop"

Workshop objects can be uploaded in a pack, you can select multiple Objects or just one.

To add a custom thumbnail, create a 256x256 JPG and place it in the Workshop game folder. After you do it will appear in the list.

Press "Upload" and you're done!
The pack will be available in the Workshop for everyone to use.
Done!
That's it! If everything went well your Object should be created and usable in-game and if you uploaded it will be available on the Workshop for anyone to download and play.

Now go make something great! I look forward to seeing what you come up with!

Cheers!

thankyou for the answer, I understand the problem with mod updates and hope that some solution to this problem might come up, so that it could still be implemented, but I guess it would still be finde for me to leave it like it is right now :)

No and I'm not sure that's something I want to add. The reason being that everyone who is subscribed will forcefully update that mod whether they want to or not. That could cause the person to suddenly have a mod that they never specifically subscribed to. Imagine you subscribe to a cool sword then suddenly the maker updates it with an obscene image. Maybe I'm overthinking it, I'll have to look into how other games handle updates.

What you can do is simply upload a new version and delete the old one. Cheers!
