1O65 06:53 Cardiff Central - Portsmouth Harbour Blue Era Part 1

At the start of the 1981 Spring/Summer timetable the 1O65 service was booked a pair of class 31's. One of the 31's had arrived earlier in the morning on the 3C14 04:05 Bristol Temple Meads - Cardiff Central parcel diagram, so the 1O65 working was a way to get the 31 back to Bristol. In this scenario drive the pair of 31's from Canton TMD across to Bristol Temple Meads and on the 2nd scenario, a short drive booking them on to Bristol's TMD.

The scenario includes some shunting around Canton sheds before heading to Central station, and also the service is pathed along the relief lines between Newport and Severn Tunnel Junction due to emergency lineside works being undertaken.

Footnote - unfortunately the class 37 pack has been discontinued and is not available anymore. Apart from the vast yards and stabling point at Severn Tunnel Junction, the 'spilt-box' class 37's were rare in South Wales and thus have not been used in this scenario. They can be subsituted via the excellent RW tools programme.
