Description
Introducing the Nuclear Reactor Mod!

A HUGE mod that adds a whole new reason to dive deeper into the world. Venture below the Magma Caves to find this energy rich substance. Work out the automation system and you will have yourself a major energy source.

The mod adds the following:
Nuclear Reactor multiblock, may look like the lab, but has been completely recoded.
Centrifuge Multiblock, looks like the Blast Furnace, but those spinning things will tell you if its operational.
Uranium Trencher Head and Motor multiblocks, yep, these beasts will only dig Uranium and require twice the power as the 'others' you can build.

Composite Alloy Smelter, smelt Chromium and Molybdenum together to get this super-strong crafting material.
Empty Fuel Rod Crafter, does just what it says, takes Composite alloy and bends them to your will.
Yellowcake Processor, this uses Chlorine and a LOT of uranium ore to produce a material that can be then refined further.
Primed Fuel Rod Crafter, combine the output of the Centrifuge with an empty fuel rod and you have yourself 60 seconds of RAW power.

Also adds a Uranium Ore Ping, yes, a new ore ping of your very own!

The balance of all the machines is fairly straight-forward, if you want to learn for yourself, then I suggest you go try the mod, then come back if you have any problems.

For each reactor you want operating at 100% you will need one full trencher system, 4 centrifuges, 8 yellowcake processors, 32 chlorine filters (using 4 compressors, etc) and 4 freezon filters (with compressor, etc).

You see, the reactor can pump out the power at a rate of 50,000 power per second, but it generates a LOT of heat, so it must be cooled using Freezon. The best part, you can build the reactor anywhere, there are no height or location restrictions. If you fail to keep it cooled, first the power generation doubles to 100k pps, but it starts to overheat, and if left unchecked, will explode.

Due to the use of advanced materials the mod has to depend on the Frozen Factory DLC to function. Yet another reason to get that DLC and show your support for the game!

You need to go below magma caves to find uranium. It look like the stone with small green patches you can't break in magma layer.
I'd say you should be able to find it at like 11-1200 deep. If you scan unknown, it should pop up

The main trigger is digging deep enough and scanning Uranium Deposits, that should unlock the tech research in the lab.

can't see all those components. the mod is activated... do i need some requirements. the lab tells me, that there is nothing else to explore. i'm sad about this, what have i to do, so the mod can be used?

I struggle to see how nuclear with upkeep logistics, finite fuel, and risk of explosion if anything goes seriously wrong is preferable to a free power box (and getting the pipe down to lava is trivial).

However, I just now noticed the mod is configurable, so I can use that to rebalance it to make it more competitive than the geothermals are.

I don't believe the power scales. Geothermal only work when you have them drill long pipe lines down to the magma layer. It's not just the cost of the building itself. I've found no situation where my reactors are not a better solution to evolving power needs.

Does the power output scale with the difficulty settings? 50k is only three geothermals' worth (non-rush Rapid) and I cannot say that that is worth the logistics over the free-except-for-a-little-freezon geothermals.

This mod is excellent, your modding skills are amazing. I was thinking about a mod for a new kind of "Cutter Heads" where you have to mine "Hard Rock" with a special miner. Cutter heads made from hard rock (and maybe with diamonds) for a nearly infinite durability.

Make sure hoppers are in output mode.

Ok what is going on it is not recognizing that hoppers are connected are there special hoppers needed????
