Yeah, You're absolutely right. You're first person struggling with this devilry, and now I see it's too difficult, as I had feared. Actually, next to Grating , it's the hardest of my chambers, requiring very unconventional thinking and a bit dexterity, as you noticed. If You'll ever find enough strength to bother with this again, I give some tips:
At first, You must get back over the pit. For this purpose, switch off grid and spread orange gel on the platform behind You. Put two portals near the wall right next to each other. Then Your slide way becomes two times longer and You can accelerate enough to jump over the pit. And...unfortunately, it's not the end. Try to use activated blue gel and main ramp to gain the cube. With angled panel reach raised platform with button, and go to the exit.
Mmm... Now I see even clearer how weird was my imagination while creating this test.

I don't get it. Even thinking in a more creative way I have no friggin idea how to get the cube over the pit. And if I did, I still have the intense feeling this is extremly tedious to get through, because this isn't just a matter of imagination, but of dexterity. The button for the grille and this whole corner seems pointless, because it doesn't help to get back. Sorry, but I'm frustrated.
