I know ARK's animals are not supposed to be the real-life creatures, and I love the game regardless of it's inaccuracies. This is merely to show a "what-if" of what it would be like if the ARK team strived for realism in their creatures designs.
(though the game itself is still a little busted, but it's EA whaddya' gonna do?)

I hope to make this the first in a series ‘correcting’ ARK’s inaccurate creatures.

ARK has really awakened a long lost love for dinosaurs and I wanted to try my hand at revising their designs in a much more…’Realistic’ light. So, FEATHERS! and some anatomy changes to make it more in-line with most other reconstructions. Feel free to criticize the accuracy of the image of course

I used a template for the book set-up to make it as close to the game as possible, but the raptor and most of the diagrams are my own drawings.

Thanks haha I've kinda taken a break from this series, but I intend to eventually remake some of them before making brand new ones.

Holy Shit! I totally thought that they were copy-pasted... These are seriously concept art material

Thanks! :D
I draw them on my own and most of the diagrams.
the dossier set up is a template.

Wow! These are all quite cool! Do you draw the dinos yourself or just the text?

Big thanks for the kind words! Stuff like that really helps me chug along, as I don't have a very good work ethic haha.
Also don't worry plenty of dinosaurs were big scaly 'lizards'. it's just that a lot of the theropods most likely weren't, but that's just one group and even some of them were proven fully scaly (carnotaurus and its family for example).

As much as i'd like to believe that dinosaurs were nothing more than big featherless lizards, your drawings really bring out that something from these more recent reconstructions. Pieces like this sometimes make me think why i abandoned 2D for 3D. Excellent drawing, and the way it is fitted to the original dossier makes it even better.

Whiteshark01 can't you just accept modern science? Why do you have to deny feathers on dinosaurs?

@Creeper Kitty and yes this did take a lot of inspiration from the Saurian Dakotaraptor.
