Not so sure what the trap is. I just went through the exit.
Portal to the far end-left of the map that you see as you enter, then fall down and portal and voila, you can exit.

If all the other stuff are red herrings, and you are supposed to try that first, then you should rearrange your map and make sure the first thing you see when you enter is not the exit and how to get there.
