Soviet Playground

Mô tả
A quick and silly little mod that replaces the "Playground" training mission with a soviet version. The empty enemy base is NSDF/BDog and you start in the special player Czar (meaning it's compatable with my Red Wolf Czar mod, but it isn't needed). Credit to General Black Dragon for the idea of this map, enjoy~

I think it would actually be more beneficial if the Barracks in the Playground were normally belonging to the enemy, making it possible to just create enemy crafts if wanted for testing, such as the testing of a Pop Gun.

The name of the field HQ in the Soviet Playground is very peculiar. It must be some kind of a complicated acronym, very long one.

That's true of the normal playground. The idea was that if any pilots hopped out of those barracks and took control of a unit you left there, that the unit would not attack you because it was neutral. Unfortunately an error in the code made it behave the reverse, your units cannot attack neutral units but neutral units can indeed attack you.

This would have been corrected years ago, unfortunately map makers started finding uses for this "aggressive neutral" team and so to fix it would break many older IA maps. So, it has stuck, nothin' can be done about it.

:( There are 2 buildings which are neutral therefore your units cannot attack them.

This mod directly replaces the normal Playground map, mostly because I'm lazy.

Well, there is one thing that I wish to know. Would this be an Instant Action map, like it was in Battlezone Classic? I wish to know. Thanks.

I've been wanting this kind of think for forever and a half so you could see how Soviet tech varies.

I actually have wished for this since I played it as a kid. Well done! :D

I liked the idea of this on BZC
Now we can play it on BZR!
