Sonic ERaZor

Description
Sonic ERaZor is a hack of the original Sonic 1 and—although not originally intended as such—has since been given the unofficial subtitle: What if Michael Bay directed Sonic 1?

Almost everything in this hack somehow involves explosions. Furthermore, it pumps the adrenaline rush to 11 and truly sits as that one odd cousin you don't fully respect but still enjoy hanging around with. Further notable aspects include a heavy (albeit bizarre) in-game storyline, cutscenes, and never seen before gameplay mechanics.

When I first released back in early 2010, it started out as a project with no goals whatsoever—any ideas I came up with just went in (the explosions came naturally, believe it or not). I went back with each version to polish the crap out of this once unruly mess of a game. The difficulty has been steadily fine-tuned to be less unfair and frustrating. Hope you'll enjoy it!

Unfortunately no. There's nothing I can do though, as the emulator provided by Sega for Steam doesn't work when it uses Sonic 1 as base DLC. I had to set it to Sonic 3 to "fool" it into working properly.

I've got Hedgehog Abuse Simulator (see my other hacks), which I'm still planning to continue, but couldn't really find the time or motivation yet. Here's hoping it'll return at some point.

Ok then. I also found out that the final level is just after the end of the tutorial, and they are both connected. Cheeky. BTW, are you working o n a new hack?

Well-aware of that bug, but because it isn't game-breaking (plus that I never found the cause...) I've decided to leave it in. And yes, those spaces are annoying.
