How it´s done!

1.

Head over to this (awesome looking) website: http://simpleradar.com

2.

Scroll down to the download section and download the maps you want to change.
Currently these maps are available: Dust 2, Inferno, Cache, Mirage, Overpass, Cobblestone and Train.

3.

Replace the original game files with the new files from Simple Radar located in:
\Steam\steamapps\common\Counter-Strike Global Offensive\csgo\resource\overviews

Before you replace them, I recommend you to backup your original game files.
There should not occur any problems, but if you ever want to change it back you will need the original files. If you already replaced them with the Simple Radar files, try to delete the Simple Radar files and then verify your game cache. Just to be sure I uploaded the original game files to my dropbox where you can download them at any time: Backup Files[www.dropbox.com]

Can this get me VAC banned?

No, you can not get VAC banned for this.

This is not an executable file, thus, Valve Anticheat (VAC) will not flag you, as stated on the website.
So yes, you can use this in matchmaking, casual, etc.!

However, services like ESEA, Faceit, CEVO, etc. have their own "Terms of Use".
In those it says "its not allowed to edit game files", therefore it could be possible getting banned on these special services.

Default Files!

In case you lost your original game files you can delete the Simple Radar files and then verify your game cache or download the original game files directly from my dropbox:
Backup Files[www.dropbox.com]
