the game crashes exactly at the beginning of turn when a AI opponent finishes the lumber mill. i manually took all timber ressources from enemy towns and the game worked fine

Maybe something that base game already has lumber mill; "Hardwood is wood from dicot trees. These are usually found in broad-leaved temperate and tropical forests".
Wood flooring is any product manufactured from timber that is designed for use as flooring, either structural or aesthetic. Resources Expanded mod has timber. Maybe make two separate mods out of this one or something along that. "Hardwood Timber for furniture maker" & "Hardwood Timber Supplier" on one mod. Lumberyard just requires lumber mill and may need to be separate mod. Something along that.:Diplomat:

@recents Yep, at around turn 67. Looked into it but have no clue the cause yet. Anyone have any ideas? Nothing shows up in the regular logs.

Does not work. The game crashes after a few turns with this mod enabled :/

Not sure if you are still maintaining this mod but it seems to have become broken at some point. With only this mod installed the game crashes a few turns in (about what it would take to have the lumbermill and building in play). Have tried with your other mods and without, both in directx 9 and directx 10/11 modes.

@tolaburke No way around the barbarian part as they don't have cities or improvements, but we are only talking about early game galleys and triremes. From a lore perspective I just think of it as they scavenged or chopped local wood to make their ships. From a game balance perspective, barbs have always been weak and just a nuisance unless you are very new to the game. Their numbers are internally limited already too, it's not as if they reproduce exponentially such that you'll never be able to build enough ships to counter all of theirs. In short, this is a non-issue.

Secondly, no actually, a mod that allows mills on jungles will have no impact with this mod, as my mod specifically looks for mills on forests. I use such a jungle mod myself and wanted forests to still be better than jungles.

With this mod, the Barbarians will basically rule the seas till the Industrial era. They spawn as they like, while the players are severely restricted in fleet size. How you regard this is up to you. On the other hand, this works well with things like the 'Lumber Mill in Jungle' mod. Ups and downs.

@Ravidalfs Like you, they can only build it in cities with lumbermills on forests. I've confirmed they build them, so your AIs probably don't have any lumbermills on forests. For balance, remember they can still get Hardwood in trade and they do treat it like any other strategci resource.
