How to get all the achievements in the game.

Introduction

This guide lists all the achievements, their descriptions and some tips about how to get them.

There are NO MISSABLE achievements
Time required to 100%: 20-25 hours.

Step 1: Play the game in story mode and enjoy it.
Step 2: Find the secret terminals in all the levels, play all the challenges, play endless mode
Step 3: Cleanup


I suggest you play with a steam controller OR with xbox controller + mouse, because the left analog sticks allows you to manipulate the time (and movement) in a way otherwise impossible with the keyboard (where you either run or stay still). Everything can be done with the keyboard of course, but during the 24 level 'no restart' challenge, you will want a much finer tuning while dodging bullets, and that (the fine tuning, not the challenge!) can be achieved only through analog input. It is of course totally possible to do everything with the keyboard, it's just a different approach, just note that it is worth checking out, if you have a controller available (you can still aim with the mouse).

On the other hand, the REDrt (real time timer) feels much better with the keyboard and pushes you to slow down as little as possible.

I didn't get the achievement playing the story normally on the day of the game release, but I just got it by loading the BALLROOM level (after DOG3). After the ballroom level, there is the MEETING level. After the meeting level, there is the sequence where you walk to your room and see what should be yourself. You punch yourself in the head, the chatter will tell you to seek medical attention and leave. If you try to launch superhot.exe, you can't (it glitches). So the only option is to quit the game. When you boot up the game again (in real life....the real game), you'll get the achievement.

SUPERHOT Achievements

Pumpkin Spiced SUPERHOT
Launch Pumpkin Spiced Challenge between 24.10 & 7.11


You just need to launch the challenge between the specified dates, you don't have to complete any level of the challenge if you don't want to. This is a SEASONAL achievement. That is a ♥♥♥♥ move and such achievements should not exist. I got it without problems today (30th October 2016). I hope that you can go around the problem if you adjust the clock of your computer, that will be something to check after this Halloween period ends, otherwise it won't be possible to get it anymore after the last day specified in the description (just like the achievement regarding the free-weekend in Left 4 Dead 2).

UPDATE: Thanks @Demotivating for reporting that changing the system time allows to get this achievement even after the 'official' period.



With a katana



Simply kill 100 Dudes with a katana. The first time you see a katana is in the subway level (far end of the map, behind you when you spawn). Don't worry about reaching 100, it will happen anyway. Consider that there is a challenge "katanaonly" that will make you spawn with a katana in your hands (and you can only use katanas), it will be even easier reaching 100.


Stand REDy
Get RED ending in every level of SPEEDRUN challenge.


Glitched (as of 26th March 2016): if you complete even only one RED level, you will unlock the achievement.

A RED ending is an ending that stays within the time limit of the challenge level. You have to be fast and avoid moving too much, so that you use as little 'time' as possible. Time only goes if you move in this challenge.


Spread the system
Upload a replay on killstagram.com


Killstagram.com is the website that launched with the game. When you finish a level, you will see your replay instantly. Press F5 to view the replay and edit it. Press F5 again to start the upload. The game will upload the replay automatically on the website. To view your replays (not currently available on the beta version of the website) go to the main menu and click on REPLAYS.EXE


Shishkebap
Kill 2 Red Dudes with one katana throw.


You will get this as well during the KATANAONLY challenge or even during story mode. There will be many occasions where enemies stand one behind the other. Just throw the katana and make sure you throw it high enough so that it does not drop on the floor before reaching the second Dude. The katana doesn't slow down when it hits an enemy though.


Red
Kill 100 Red Dudes with a rifle.


You won't get this during story mode but you'll get it for sure during the first challenges.


Ratatatata!
Kill 3 Red Dudes with one rifle burst.


One rifle burst shoots 4 bullets. Once you click, you begin the burst and can't stop it. Make sure you have 3 Dudes on screen (preferably close to each other to make things easier) and start shooting without moving. The best level to get this is the first time you get a rifle in story mode, that is on level "13TIRALL", the level where a truck tries to hit you.


Pointless but cool
Score 100 headshots.


You will get this during some challenge. If you are not a fan of headshots, just know that the last challenge you unlock (spoiler) gives all the enemies a very big round head, if you want things easy..... The title of the achievement is quite funny: pointless because wherever you shoot them, enemies will always need only one shot to die.


Killing
Kill 100 Red Dudes with a shotgun.


You will get this during some challenge after story mode. If you have difficulties reaching 100, use endless mode.


Just
Kill 100 Red Dudes with a pistol.


Same as "RED" and "Killing"

SUPERHOT Achievements pt. II

Hercules
Beat all Challenges.


Some challenges are very easy and only time consuming and are not very different from the 'normal' story mode (you don't play the 'plot' levels though). Some hard challenges:

REDrt times challenge: it's real time that passes even if you don't move. Just know well every level (you should, at this point in the challenge list) and be sure to never stand still, try to always move so that bullets will fly faster. OF course every bullet (including the ones shot by the enemies) will fly faster but the point is to not waste 'real' time by not moving in the game. So don't slow down too much, stop the time rapidly when you feel the need to dodge incoming bullets, for the rest, go full throttle.

RED challenge: it is the opposite, make sure you don't waste time by moving too much. Always get the shortest route to where you have to go, and make sure you don't miss when you shoot. In the server room, jump on the table....it will be a much shorter route to the server room full of red dudes, saving you a lot of time.

NORESTART challenge: you have to play all 25 levels without dying once. It is quite easy if you don't lose concentration. Just make sure you know exactly how many enemies will spawn, and from where. You can organize your levels so that you stand right next to the next enemy spawn, and kill those even before they start aiming at you, minimizing the risk. It is not nice having to repeat the challenge when you die on level 24/25. *Tip* for the elevator level (17ELEVAT.lvl): three guys pointing the gun at you. Punch the middle one (he has the highest hand, ready to shoot), punch the right one and then the left one. You'll have 3 guns floating in the air to choose from. The rest is easy, but you don't want to fail the elevator level at the beginning, since it's already the 17th level out of 25 (close to the end). *Tip* for the train station level (not the subway, the train station: 28STATION.lvl): as soon as you spawn, don't move, teleport in the only Dude you see from the spawn point. Once you get control of his body, he will drop his weapon, making the enemy right in front of him (you) drop his weapon as well. Get his weapon, kill the other guy, while at the same time going towards the light doors where the 2 other guys will spawn. After you kill them, it's only a matter of killing one of the other guys on the other side of the railway and teleport into the only remaining one (to avoid risks).


Get REDy
Get RED ending in every level of SPEEDRUNrt challenge.


Glitched (as of 26th March 2016): if you complete even only one RED level, you will unlock the achievement.


This speedrun counts real time (real seconds). So don't waste too much time slowing down time/movements or you will lose a lot of (real) seconds and go beyond the time limit. Glitched: if you complete even only one RED level, you will unlock the achievement.

This is for sure the hardest challenge, and also the hardest achievement. You will need to try lots of times the same level, because the RED times to beat are honestly quite low....even from the first level you will see that you have to completely change your approach to the game. Somehow it felt better playing with the keyboard rather than an analog stick, you could go full throttle all the time (almost) without having the possibility to choose a midrange speed, that is without wasting time.

Full Package
Unlock all endless levels.


To unlock endless levels, play endless mode. If you don't want to play too long, go to the next level as soon as you reached the necessary kills (so you will unlock levels faster).


Dudes
Kill 100 Red Dudes using melee.


You will unlock this combining the kills in story mode and the kills of the challenges (there is also a melee only challenge).


Conserve Ammo
Kill 3 Red Dudes with one shotgun shot.


This is easier than 3 kills with one rifle burst. There will be many occasions for this achievement to pop.


Can't get enough
Kill over 1987 Red Dudes in endless mode.


Endless mode has also levels that you need to unlock. Try to unlock all the levels first so that you don't waste kills towards this achievement.

Below some kind of exploit (not really, but yes) is shown in the 'Bridge' endless arena (up to you if you want to earn the achievement this way or the hard way). There is a main 'market square' with a big dragon in the middle. The bridge goes over a little canal. On the one end of the canal opposite to the dragon on the wall (not the big dragon, the other dragon relief right on top of the canal) there is a higher post. You need to get stairs to go up there, and there is only one way to enter that area. Follow the screenshots and wait where the 4th screenshot shows. Keep pressing right so you push yourself to the wall and let time pass. All the enemies will converge here....so just use a katana on them or thick shotgun shots in their face. Be careful because after a while someone will spawn right at your back (there is a spawn door right behind you). No problem you will notice it rapidly enough because it will emit a red light. If you see the red bloom, just turn around, kill whoever spawned, rinse and repeat. No problems getting hundreds of kills in a few minutes.



Head to the end of the map in this direction






You'll find yourself here (sometimes you spawn here at the beginning of the level)





Head towards that entrance (the stairs will bring you to a katana, and a higher spot where you can also snipe some enemies)


Wait here for all the enemies that will come through the door. The only other way the enemies can get to you, is only if they spawn from the door right behind you. It happens not so often (because you are standing right next to the spawn), but it can happen. You'll see the red light coming from the door so it is easy to notice if someone spawns.

This BRIDGE map 'exploit' is a good way to very rapidly unlock ALL the endless maps. Basically, you can find a similar spot in any other map: get a katana (or even a firearm will work as long as you keep swapping for new weapons with ammo stocked), camp, farm kills. To unlock all modes for a certain arena, you need 150 kills. Get 150 kills, move on to the next arena, till you unlock all the arena maps / modes (you will have reached 1987 by then).





The result after 18 minutes on the map Bridge. The BREAKIN map works even better. Every map has a place where you can safely camp, more or less.

Hidden achievements

This category lists hidden achievements that are NOT story related. All achievements that are story related are hidden as well. But if it's a story related achievement, it is under the first category in this guide. What follows is the list of hidden achievements that are not story related.

So it is possible!
Cut bullet with a katana.


As the description says: equip a katana, approach a bullet slowly and cut it. You will likely get this anyway during the ONLYKATANA challenge without even trying.



No they didn't
Shoot down a bullet with a bullet.


If you spot a bullet quite close to you, shoot it with any firearm equipped. It will happen without you even trying.


Deep Web
Become part of the community.


Enter GURUCHAT and listen to the channel for 15 minutes or so. You enter the chat by clicking APPS in the menu and then launching ggroups.exe. For this achievement is better that you do everything else first. Some chat dialogues will be unlocked only after you complete everything. Maybe that's why some people don't unlock this achievement.


It's a me, Mario!
Kill an enemy by jumping on him.


If you didn't get this during the story mode, the best level to try this in my opinion is the level in the ballroom, called "20BALLRO.lvl". Drop on the middle Dude. He has to 'die' (shatter) for it to be an actual drop kill.


Charted
Find all secrets.


Every level has a secret terminal that you can interact with. I suggest you follow this guide to find all of them.


Bored
Launch every app in the system.


From the main menu, navigate in all the folders and launch whatever you can launch. I am not sure if you need also the files which are NOT executables. I launched everything. Also, NOTE that you need to complete the game to unlock this achievement, since finishing the game unlocks credits.exe on the main menu, that is required for this achievement (credits.exe counts as 'app').

I did the Speedrun Achievement yesterday. Its not glitched. I got it after I completed all speedrun challenges
