Ignore Missing Content

Description
WARNING: This mod allows you to do potentially unsafe things! You should back up your save games before attempting to use this! BACK UP YOUR SAVE GAMES!

This mod is designed to allow you to bypass the check for missing content, so that save games can still be used without that mod installed. Like any mod, this one is saved to the save game, and uninstalling the mod will give you the missing content warning, and you won't have a way to bypass it! You have been warned.

I cannot stress enough that this is not a silver bullet, and it can't fix everything. It is only meant to be a last ditch effort to try to load a save game when the previous content is not available, or undesired. Forcing XCOM 2 to load a save game with missing content is not a normal condition, and it tries its best, but it can lead to crashes, unwinnable conditions, freezing, graphics artifacts, unresponsive UI, and other undefined behavior.

2016-02-10: Added an option to the pause menu(bottom of screen) that allows you to reset the mod bindings for the currently loaded save game. This will update the saved list of required mods to the list of currently installed mods. You will need to save the game again before these changes are persisted into the save game. This should let you get rid of the constant asking for confirmation on loading a save game if you have determined that it is safe to load the save anyways.

To those that are having issues getting this to work, you likely have another mod that is hooking the load game menu or pause menu. Because the load order of mods is not deterministic, the mod that hooks the load screen first, or last(I haven't been able to determine which) gets access to that area of the UI, You may have to disable mods that hook the load screen for this to work.

IMPORTANT: You can probably get this to work if it isn't showing up, if you open Documents\My Games\XCOM2\XComGame\Config\XComEngine.ini and remove all lines that say "ModClassOverrides", save the file, then disable all your mods and enable only the ones you want, and this one. Credit to "Guy that is 554421" for this information.

P.S. No I'm not considering posting this on Nexus. I still don't see the point and I'm tired of people trying to convince me. If you want to archive the mod, grab a copy of it from the link I posted in the comments.

If someone makes a new version of this, I will download for sure.

I don't mind. I don't own WotC and I don't have the SDK installed, so it isn't as though I can put a WotC version out anyways. The ultimate goal is just providing people with what they want.

Mod bindings can be reset it just requires an additional step in the code (which admittedly took me a little while to figure out).

You can use Remove Missing Mods for WotC: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1127050498

@Zwagoth
I don't mean to be advertising in your comment section I just know there are people who will still be coming here hoping to unbind mods. Feel free to delete this comment if you aren't totally comfrtable with it being here.

Hey Zwagoth, has there been any followup version of the mod for WotC? If not, I'd be interested in making the port/update, with your permission of course.

@Zwagoth: it does, however, i don't think it has the option to reset mod bindings like this mod gives you.
