Tough Break Skins: Stickers and Textures

Unlike Gun Mettle skins, the Tough Break update includes 'Stickers' that are applied to some skins. The stickers are always applied to the same location on the skin (or sometimes not at all), and in some instances a 'rare' sticker may be applied. This guide attempts to document the usage of stickers in the Tough Break skins and identify instances where 'rare' stickers may be applied. I have also tried to identify cases where a texture can be applied to create significantly different effects on the look of the weapon.

Rare Stickers

On some skins, one of several stickers has a chance to be applied, and on the weapons listed in this section there are some stickers that appear less frequently than others. These are 'rare' stickers.

Balloonicorn Sniper Rifle

- Has a Balloonicorn sticker on the lens cap and a pair of eyes on the end of the sight. The sticker on the lens cap is always present, but the eyes can vary.

Warhawk Flame Thrower

- Has a Balloonicorn sticker on the nozzle. Other decorations on this weapon are part of the skin and not stickers. The Balloonicorn is usually the 'green tiger' variant, but is rarely a regular balloonicorn.

- The 'Soldier Crest' sticker is on the left side of the weapon, but rarely it can be a 'Balloonicorn Crest' sticker.

Poker Chips

- The 'betting table' can contain 1-5 chips (stickers), which can be black, purple, green, or yellow soldier icons, or occasionally a pink balloonicorn. Probabilities for each chip are as follows:

Chip 1, 2, & 4:

• Balloonicorn: ~5%
  
• Black/Green/Purple/Yellow: (~12% each)
  
• No chip: ~48%

Chip 3:

• Balloonicorn: ~9%
  
• Black/Green/Purple/Yellow: (~23% each)

Chip 5:

• Balloonicorn: ~3%
  
• Black/Green/Purple/Yellow: (~8% each)
  
• No chip: ~65%

Other Stickers

- The weapon also has a 'Pin Up Female Soldier' on the right side. The roulette ball and diamonds are also stickers. These stickers are always in the same place and are always the same.

Common & Variable Stickers

Some skins can have more than one possible sticker applied, but unlike the rare stickers above, all possibile stickers have the same chance of being applied. These are 'variable' stickers.

Mister Cuddles Minigun

- Has a sticker on the back of the motor and a cat face on the front. The sticker can be a 'puppy' , 'kitteh', or 'hamster' with equal probability. The face can be 'surprised' (kitteh_crazy), 'happy' (kitteh_default), 'angry' (kitteh_mad), 'winking' (kitteh_wink), or 'tongue poke' (kitteh_tongue) with equal probability.

Blue Mew Pistol

- Has a sticker on the side of the clip. The sticker can be a 'puppy' , 'kitteh', or 'hamster' with equal probability. It is only visible during reloading or 'Inspecting' in-game.

Killer Bee Scattergun

- Has 5 stickers! The first is the 'Killer Bee Logo' sticker on the barrel. The second is the words 'Killer Bee' on the stock. The third and forth are 'RAF' insignias located on either side of the stock near the barrel. The fifth is a variable sticker located on the right side of the barrel, it includes 1-10 'bombs' akin to nose art markings used on RAF planes to indicate number of successful operations.

Airwolf Wrench

- Can have a white spiral sticker on the left and/or right side of the hook jaw (or no sticker at all). Each sticker seems to have about a 50% chance of being applied, therefore there is a 1 in 4 chance of having both stickers applied.

- Has a Sau (German for 'sow', as in pig) sticker on the motor housing. There appears to be no variation in this sticker.

Variable Textures

Rainbow Grenade Launcher

- Has 2 variable textures.

The Handle

The color can vary based on which part of the texture is applied. A few examples are shown below.

The raw texture

The Barrel

The position and rotation of the rainbow texture can give a different appearance to the weapon. For example, the rainbow stripes could be vertical, horizontal, or most often diagonal. The same effect can be found on the Rainbow Flame Thrower and Rainbow Sniper Rifle. Of note here: another texture layer is applied over the rainbow stripes called 'sparkles'. It adds little shimmering stars all over the texture for a subtle but very pleasing finish.

- Like the handle of the Rainbow Grenade Launcher, the barrel of this weapon can vary in color based on which part of the texture is applied.

- The position and rotation of the pink/white stripes texture can give a different appearance to the weapon. For example, the stripes could be vertical, horizontal, or most often diagonal. The same effect can be found on the Sweet Dream Grenade Launcher.

Autumn Weapons

- The colors of these weapons can vary based on which part of the texture is applied. The color can vary from dark brown (common), through light brown, orange (uncommon), and violet (rare). Some examples are shown below. On the Flamethrower only the straps and tubes have the texture so it's not as noticeable.

- The twisted wood texture on these weapons can contain a green blight.

- The cigarette texture gets 'smoked' with increasing wear levels, and starting from Minimal Wear glowing embers can be seen at the end of the 'cigarette'.
